"Noisy"

4.0

Views are fab but the one thing that would stop me coming back is the noise from the town. Sitting in my room at 1045 pm being kept awake by music played at god knows how many decibels with no idea what time it might finish. Not necessarily the resorts fault but nevertheless a big minus if you come for a bit of peace. Not the only night this has happened so unfortunately couldn’t recommend here if you’re looking for a peaceful rest

"Such a beautiful destination – Highly recommend"

10.0

We had the absolute pleasure of experiencing Green Fig Resort in a truly special way – as a last-minute venue for our civil wedding – and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we reached out, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, thank you again to Michael the manager who we reached out to. Despite the short notice, they welcomed us and accommodated us. Every single member of the team were very friendly, helpful, and kind, creating an atmosphere of joy and calm that made our day even more special . The setting itself is breathtaking – serene, and intimate – a perfect backdrop for our small wedding. It felt like something out of a dream. My parents were also fortunate enough to stay at the resort for the entire week and had a beautiful experience. They loved the beautiful room, the peaceful ambiance, and most of all, the wonderful staff who made them feel right at home. We are so grateful to Green Fig Resort for turning what could have been a stressful, last-minute scramble into one of the most memorable days of our lives. Thank you for everything – we really can't wait to return. 🇱🇨

"The place to stay in Soufriere"

10.0

My wife and I spent 5 days in green fig. It was an amazing experience. The staff was friendly courteous and extremely helpful. I have to call out the front office in particular that was always willing, ready and able to solve just about every problem we had. Whether it was helping us with a broken medical device or restaurant recommendations or getting us a driver. Tasha and her team were always there to help. Our room was on the end of one block of Villas with what was essentially our own private pool and an amazing view of the pitons the beach. There pitons are mesmerizing. The kitchen staff was also very accommodating for example they prepared for dinner some fish that I had caught on a fishing trip. It was amazing.

"Great resort, great view, central to everything."

10.0

Before coming I read the reviews and mapped the location on google. I knew exactly what to expect as I did my research, as one should. I chose this resort as it was central to the things I wanted to do; hike Petit Piton, visit Sugar Beach, Anse Chastanet Beach and be close to town. The resort is beautifully situated cliffside overlooking Petit Piton, the ocean and the town of Soufriere. The views could not be any better. Staff greeted me upon arrival, checked me in and brought me down to my room. Yes, there are plenty of stairs on this resort as described. I stayed in the budget friendly room. It was quite large, had an amazing view and a little balcony outside. The pools were clean and the resort in general was tidy. Leaves and various fruits are consistently falling from trees so don’t be surprised if you see them on the steps or walkways. I had the (included) continental breakfast every morning which was good and had dinner here a few times, but mostly ate in town or while visiting nearby beaches. The prices for food and drink are comparable to what you’ll find in town and at other resorts. The staff were courteous, easy to talk with and the locals in town are respectful. Taxi’s are expensive around here but you can shop around and bargain for a better rate. There are infinite lizards, tree frogs and lots of bats flying around at night which is cool to see. I had a great experience and have nothing bad to say. If you are older, out of shape or have knee problem's, please note, you’ll be going up and down lots of stairs, and if you choose to walk into town that will require going down (then up) a steep road. The walk to town is 10 minutes and the resort has a shuttle to bring you down the road.

"Nice hotel near a lot of attractions"

8.0

I stayed at the Green Fig resort for 4 nights in August 2025 with my partner. Location of hotel: Its on the outskirts of Soufriere in the South West of the island, close to a lot of attractions such as Sulphur Springs drive in volcano and mud baths, Toraille Waterfall, Diamond Falls & Botanical gardens, Sugar Beach and the Pitons and Project Chocolat cocoa plantation. In terms of location it is a great base for visiting those areas. However it is slightly out of Soufriere, on top of a steep hill overlooking the town. You cannot walk easily from the hotel to the town, it is a 5 minute drive. The entrance to the hotel is really quite steep, there is a dangerous u bend to enter the hotel from the hill and then a rough narrow steep track to the hotel. Not for the faint hearted. Hotel facilities and views: Once you get to the hotel, the views over Soufriere and Petit Piton are truly amazing. One of the best views I have ever seen. The hotel itself has an open air terrace where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. There is a bar serving drinks and a small pool with some loungers overlooking the fantastic views. The resort is almost cut into the rocks of the hill, so there are a lot of steps to get to the rooms. The staff carried our luggage to the room for us, there were many steps down from reception. The room was a big wooden building on the hill, with a balcony, a sitting area, a small kitchen with fridge and tea and coffee facilities, a walk in wardrobe with a safe, a large bathroom with shower and plenty of space. There was even a ladder up to a loft area with an extra bed. The views from the room were spectacular. The bed has a mosquito net over it, and it is needed, as there are a lot of mosquitos in the room. We did spray it with insecticide and used a mosquito plug but you can’t get rid of them easily. There are 2 more pools near the rooms, small quiet ones with nice views, but less well maintained than the main pool. Food: The continental breakfast was nice, it was fresh fruit, eggs, toast and some local cakes, along with ham and cheese. There was a problem one day with ants, they were all over the tables at breakfast, the hotel should have tried to sort this out before opening. Dinner was nice, we tried the creole chicken and creole mahi mahi, although the price is expensive for dinner and portions are small. The bar do nice cocktails, although on the expensive side. Overall staff were mainly friendly especially Hartley at the bar. Surrounding area: There is a beach bar in Soufriere which played extremely loud music for 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed. It is not the hotels fault but it did disturb us in our room in the nights as it is very very loud. We liked the Seashell Beach restaurant in Soufriere, at the bottom of the hill, which did a nice buffet lunch every day. Overall: I did enjoy my stay at the Green Fig, the views are spectacular, room amenities were great, pools were nice and quiet, bar served nice cocktails, Soufriere is a great location to explore the South. Be aware that there are a lot of uneven steps in the hotel and you will have to be fit to climb them, be prepared for mosquitos in the room, and be prepared for a dangerous entrance to the hotel with a steep rough hill to get to the car park.

"Unforgettable, Wonderful Vacation"

10.0

THANK YOU! We decided to have our wedding at this beautiful resort, the staff and hotel certainly did not disappoint! From the minute we entered the property to the minute we left everything and everyone was great! The views are too die for! The staff was friendly, courteous, informative and incredibly helpful. We were a very curious group of people and constantly ask questions about the property, the island, what adventures to take...etc. Everyone always responded with kind words and good attitudes. Onion is a wonderful bar tender and great dj. Loved the different kinds of music playing. We loved visiting the different pools throughout our lengthy stay. I've traveled all over and have never had such a great experience. We plan on returning at some point in the future. Our teenage boys had a great time as well and tell everyone about this hotel. Again THANK YOU ALL for such a great vacation and for making our wedding so memorable. I could not have dreamed a better wedding if I tried.

"The best Jungle experience!"

10.0

Destination wedding! WOW... I was invited to attend my cousin's wedding. Talk about a once in a life time experience. The resort was kind enough to host an intimate wedding. From the special set up they used all different exotic plants found in the majestic resort. Chef Roy made an exquisite wedding feast, along with all the staff services made breakfast, lunch, and dinner unforgettable. The jerk chicken is magnificent. Onion is always mixing it up with new creations and signature island drinks. With a 9 night stay my words can't express my gratitude. The concierge are available to help you plan your excursions on the island please make sure you ask!!!!! Snorkeling is TaaDdaa. You come to the island as a tourist you leave an islander!

"Feedback on our stay"

4.0

The Green Fig Resort & Spa is truly a beautiful place. However the price you pay does not match the level of service that you receive. If you don't have the all inclusive package it is very expensive to dine and drink. One Staff in particular was not a breath of fresh air, she was quite very RUDE despite that you are working in a service industry and people don't pay to come on vacation for attitude especially their very first day. On the positive side the Supervisor we met during the day and Rochana made our stay very enjoyable and would be looking forward to seeing them when we come back.

"View of the Pitons was spectacular"

The view of the pitons was spectacular!! Close to town! But you need transportation to get around. The room was very clean, the staff was very helpful and breakfast was good.

The hotel should invest in new out door furniture and decor.

"Needs improvement"

4.0

Vibe: This is a beautiful rustic property with absolutely stunning views. Each morning felt like stepping out of a treehouse and walking through a lush rainforest on the way to breakfast. That said, be prepared for a lot of stairs — easily over 50 steps each way. If you have mobility issues this place will not be suitable for you. Room: The room was spacious and offered breathtaking views. The bed was very comfortable, and the AC worked ok, though it had to work overtime. The windows weren’t properly sealed, allowing hot air to seep in, and the upstairs loft (Bali Suite) had large gaps between the walls, making it extremely hot (around 30°C). This was also contributing to the overall room temperature never cooling beyond 23° during the day. I had to keep the AC at 18°C just to be comfortable at night downstairs. If I were sharing the room, the loft would’ve been unusable. Noise was a major downside. Loud music from the town played until 2 to 3am, followed by early morning announcements/roosters/dogs barking around 6 to 6:30am. If you're a light sleeper like me, you might struggle here. Restaurant/Bar: Breakfast was included and quite good — simple but plentiful. Dinner, however, was disappointing. The menu was limited and very overpriced. Also different menus had different prices listed, which was quite confusing. Bar drinks are also extremely overpriced and according to others at the bar, very sweet. Though, the welcome drink was pretty darn tasty! Location: On paper, the location seems ideal since it's close to many attractions. In reality, it's not great for walking. Taxis are expensive ($10 for a 2 to 3 minute ride to the bottom of the hill), and the walk is extremely steep and unsafe for anyone with knee or back issues. You’ll be walking along the main road, with cars speeding by in both directions, so it's definitely not child-friendly. After dark, there’s very limited lighting, making the walk even riskier. Service: This is where the experience really fell short. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming, which made for a disappointing first impression. Most staff interactions (except for Onion, Dani, and Edan) felt awkward and strained, like they didn’t want to be there. At this price point, you expect a warm, welcoming environment. Instead, the place felt lifeless. A few smiles and some basic hospitality would go a long way. Communication via WhatsApp was also frustrating. Responsiveness and engagement were simply lacking. Asked for the final receipt to be emailed and still don't have it, after asking several times. Also, just so everyone is clear "on the way" means "taxi will leave in 20 minutes". Don't rush out of the restaurant like I did several times only to stand in direct sun waiting. Excursions: The hotel offers a good selection of excursions, which is convenient. However, there’s little to no information provided about them — no descriptions, no tips on what to bring or expect, and no guidance on what each tour involves. A simple pamphlet or webpage would solve this issue and help guests prepare better. For example, some tours involve hiking in wet swimwear without warning, which could be avoided if guests knew to bring a change of clothes. Better planning and communication here would really improve the guest's experience. I had a hiccup with one of the excursions and was offered $10 off taxi only. When I asked if this could be subtracted from the tour itself, I was told no. The had to pay the tour company the money. They were the tour company and the driver worked for them, so I ended up not getting a discount. Technically it was applied to an already overpriced taxi, so I got it for the same price as what I was quoted in town. So, no discount. Reception: there was no one at the reception in the evenings and often times during the day, which is wild since the universal 3 ⭐ rating means 24-hour reception. So again, you have to rely on WhatsApp, where some messages don't get answered. Overall, the property is nice but the service doesn't match the high price point
