Kanamori House

The location was incredible especially as it was the Spring Festival and two of the parade floats stopped directly out front of the house, spectator! The house is spacious and no clutter and nicely decorated. The master bed is very comfortable if you appreciate a softer bed! Friendly neighbourhood. We had an issue with the gas hotwater and this was quickly attened to and fixed without issue.

Complicated grill that we gave up trying to use, most likely a language barrier. There is no clothes drier so had to scatter wet clothes throughout the house to dry. The washing machine has a 'drier function' but it does not dry clothes.

The house was stylish, spotless and well-located. There were many thoughtful details and a clear instruction manual for all the appliances.

Lovely little house in a good location very close to the old town. Instructions for access to property (via lockbox) were very comprehensive and clear. Perfect size for two couples . Loved the little ramen restaurant just across the river (no more than 5 minutes walk). Really good to have a Western-style dining table as well as a ‘Japanese’- style table and tatami seating ; gave us plenty of space .

The Japan Experience staff was so rude, nobody ever spoke to me this way: we forgot the 10 am checkout time, coming from Europe we are not accustomed to these hours. We were late 15 minutes. I completely recognize our mistake. The lady from Japan experience concierge service called me and shouted on me, didn’t let me apologize and asked me “to vacate the house immediately “! For a house this price, she could have used another tone. Also no heating in bathroom, freezing cold and elsewhere using heating air conditioning, noisy, not very effective and makes the air very dry.

Very clean and spacious little house. We found everything very comfortable. The location is great, just by the river and a 5 minute walk to the centre of town. We had a bit of an issue finding reasonable parking at first, but there is a good parking lot on the same road as the house, just before the red bridge. We also found a free parking lot a bit of a walk (15-20 minutes) from the house.

The property is advertised as having a tumble dryer. There is no tumble dryer. There is a good washing machine and a small airing contraption upstairs on the balcony. A larger clothes dryer would be great. Otherwise, everything was great.
