The building itself is beautiful and architecturally striking. The bellhop who brought our bags to the room was very kind and welcoming, which we appreciated

The hotel felt very dark overall, and the marble interiors created a cold, damp feeling rather than a cozy atmosphere. Being on the ground floor significantly impacted our stay — we could hear people talking in the courtyard, loud kitchen noise early in the morning, and children running and shouting, which was especially disruptive. We were surprised to see children at the property, as it didn’t feel well suited to families. Privacy was also an issue. Our room faced the courtyard, so we didn’t feel comfortable opening the windows since people could see directly inside. The bathroom window, although frosted, had a noticeable gap and also looked out onto the courtyard, further reducing privacy. For the price we paid, we expected something exceptional, but unfortunately the experience didn’t meet that standard for us. Other hotels in the area that we stayed in were far better and cost us 20% of this stay.

Tolle Lage, sehr zentral aber dennoch vom Chaos der Altstadt entfernt, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in Laufnähe, kostenlose Softdrinks, Kaffee, Tee, Früchte und kleine Snacks, sehr hilfsbereites Personal, gutes Frühstück, tolle Architektur im Kolonialstil mit einem schönen Innenhof und Brunnen

Die Entlüftung der Dusche und des Zimmers könnte besser sein. Die Standardzimmer im EG sind zum Innenhof orientiert, haben kein Fenster und nur kleine Öffnungen in der Tür als Fensterersatz, dadurch wirkte unser Zimmer etwas dunkel, kein Kleiderschrank im Zimmer sondern eine offene Kleiderstange.

The hotel interior is beautiful, the staff were very accommodating and friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. The location is excellent, within walking distance of all the main spots in Oaxaca city.

Unfortunately, our second night was very disruptive due to loud music from the bar behind the hotel, which continued until around 4am. The noise was severe enough to make sleep impossible. While we understand this was outside the hotel’s control, it appears to be a known issue, as ear plugs were provided. Had this been communicated in advance, we would have requested a different room or booked elsewhere.
