Belvada Hotel

No breakfast, had to buy it across street. Very expensive.

Beautiful historic hotel. Food across the street at Mizpah hotel (sister property) was very good

There was an odor of "wet dog" in the room when we arrived that was off-putting. It was just enough to make us think everything in the room had had a dog sitting on it (furniture and floor). Perhaps some rooms could just remain dog free like the old smoke-free rooms once did.

Great stay in Tonopah while we were en route from Las Vegas area to Reno for college. Really enjoyed the ambience of the hotel, and the layout of the room (two TV's, one each for my son and I), and there are plenty of food options within five or ten minutes on foot. Will definitely stay here again when the opportunity presents.

I have nothing to complain about. Simple, aged hotel and a comfortable nights' rest. Thank you.

Beautifully restored historical building. Clean and comfortable. Tonopah is a very small town in the middle of the desert - a good waypoint between Las Vegas and Reno/Lake Tahoe. You can explore the town and its environs in about one day, the highlights being the history and mining museums. That leaves the Belvada and its sister-property, the Mitzpah Hotel, as top sites to see while in town. Room amenities were quite contemporary - microwave, coffee maker, small refrigerator, coffee, tea, sweeteners and creamer, bottled water.

Very slow drains in the bathroom - after about 8 ounces of water flow in the sink, it exceeded the drain's flow capacity. A light was burned out in the room; the room was sort of a two-room set-up, with full-sized beds in each space, and 2 wall-hung tv's facing each bed. There was only 1 tv control, and when turned on, it started both tv's, but not necessarily on the same channel. Not insurmountable, but slightly awkward.

The location of property. Enjoyed staying in room 35, once we realized, that we had to check in across the street.

There was no staff to be seen when we entered the hotel. A note on the counter stated, that we had to register across the street at the Mizpah hotel. Having to go across the street was an inconvenience due to how cold & tired we were from our drive to Tonopah. The availability of the coffee maker & bottles of water was nice. Also, would have appreciated some tea to be included.
