Milad is the BEST. He was so helpful while checking us in and he brought our ice cream from DoorDash to our room every single night 🥹. We are so in love with this hotel and we will definitely be back! The biggest, cleanest, most beautiful rooms ever!

first time at Vaga and incredible experience throughout. delicious food, great views, 5 star service. i hope whoever reads this gets to meet Milad at the valet. we need more people like him in this world.

Pro: -A very nice location and rooms are well done -Pocket, the pool bar is a solid 9/10 for food and drink -Vaga dinner options are pretty good Cons: -Top-tier pricing and mid-tier execution is quite a let down -The "package breakfast" menu identifies you for poor service -Vaga team-style dinner service is haphazardly executed and confusing -Room service can take a while, might need a 2nd call Net-net: Poor value for the price.

My girlfriend and I had a phenomenal experience at the Alila Marea. The staff was so kind and helpful to us and were always trying to accommodate in whatever ways they could. It truly felt like we were hosted there rather than passing through. The restaurant experience was wonderful and we had great wait staff throughout the weekend. Be sure to ask for Chad at the valet. He was a great help with providing tips on where to take the bikes.

This is a beautiful property perched on a cliff in Encinitas—perfect for a peaceful escape. My husband and I had a wonderful stay. Our king room was spacious and featured a balcony overlooking the pool with a partial ocean view, which made it especially relaxing. We were greeted with a lovely welcome treat in our room, a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the stay. Highlights included the pool with stunning ocean views, and my husband couldn’t get enough of the sauna. The cold plunge bath was also a great addition and made the wellness experience feel extra special. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace at VAGA, where everything was absolutely delicious. As Hyatt Globalists, we’ve experienced many hotel breakfasts, and this was truly one of the best. It was a bit chilly in the morning, but the staff thoughtfully provided blankets so we could comfortably enjoy the view. We also stopped by VAGA for happy hour—great atmosphere and beautiful views. Another fantastic perk was the complimentary electric bikes for guests, which we used for a short and fun ride to dinner. Highly recommend this property for a quiet, relaxing couples’ getaway.

From the first day to the very end service was great! The valet assistant Ricky was extremely helpful front the very beginning! He made sure we were stocked with plenty of water! He helped with the bike rentals and when I told him it was our anniversary he sent a bottle of wine, wine glasses, an handwritten note and some chocolate up to the room! I will never forget his kind gestures and customer service! He made our stay even more special!

The location - looking out at the gorgeous Pacific Ocean - was stunning and serene. The rooms were comfortable and filled with delightful stylish touches. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Yoga overlooking the ocean was perfect!

Ricky provided exceptional valet service as the first and last face of the hotel. Ricky should be promoted into a higher leadership position in order to teach new hires how to provide phenomenal service and bring a positive attitude to guests that would make them want to return.
