DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Higashiyama

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and the service was excellent throughout our visit. A special thanks to Ms. Summer for her kindness and warm hospitality. She helped us in such a friendly and caring way, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated her support. Highly recommended!

We loved the size of the room and the location. It was perfect.

I stayed at this property with my son in April 2026. The hotel was relatively close to the Kyoto Station (if you have a lot of luggage you may need to take a taxi) The room was clean and the cabinets/ bathroom were updated and in good working order. There was no hallway, or other noise. There is a train station 1 block from the hotel we used frequently during our 4-night stay. The restaurant has convenient hours for breakfast, and dinner. Breakfast is very good, and there is an egg/omelet station. Dinner was good and inexpensive. Overall, our stay was very good.

The room while nice was a bit on the small side for the price but probably large by Japanese standards. The beds were a bit firm for my taste. Seemed a bit on the expensive side compared to other properties we stayed at.
