Montana Inn near Little Bighorn - Colstrip

Wouldn’t stay, place was a disaster, very dirty. Took less then 3 minutes to walk in see the so called room and leave.

What a dump! I understand there are renovated areas of the property; we did not get those rooms... the nasty, horrible aspects of this hotel are too many to number. Listen to my warning and stay far, far away. My husband and I agreed that we would have rather slept in the truck... and would have done so if we had any bedding whatsoever.

It was fairly clean but very old and dumpy. They were trying to renovate by painting which I can appreciate but not very well done. Bed was very old and box spring dirty. Pink insulation stuffed around the airconditioner. But it did work. Fridge also worked inspite of bad smell.

Staff are nice and accommodating. Otherwise very rough facilities. No hot water in the room. Not a place for families, but a single guy needing a place to crash for the night on the road with a flushing toilet and pillows on the cheap it works.

Dirty and run down

After staying here, I'm confused as to why they pay a cleaning person? Almost every wall had stuff on it, the bathroom had dog or cat food on the floor, there was no lid to our toilet, and the shower curtain was disgusting!! There were brown spots of something on it & the bottom was full of soap scum.I will include photos. The human eye can easily see when a shower curtain needs replaced!! I won't be staying here again.

I am not a high maintenance person and can sleep almost anywhere. The Montana Inn however was not a place I wanted to put my bags on the floor. The room we got was in the back of the hotel (not a refurbished room). When we stepped into the room we noticed a very weird smell, something that would stick on us later throughout the day. The floor seemed to have water damage and it felt like it was soft and that we may fall through. Above where the floor was soft the ceiling looked like it had leaked and repaired multiple times. The light switch did not turn on the lights you had to find the light switch on the wall lamp that was plugged into the wall with exposed wires wrapped around it. The air condition unit looked as if it had not been cleaned in a decade and the heater was a small space heater that was plugged into the wall. There was a corner in the room that had layers of dust and dirt with an exposed pipe that dripped. The bathroom wall had layers of paint peeled from the wall and the toilet was set at a 45 degree angle. There was a window to the outside that was a hoarders dream of old hotel parts and pieces and trash. We had another window that was broken on one side and drywalled over on the other side. I was waiting to leave a review because I requested a refund for the remainder of the days we canceled but as I suspected I never got the refund. The front desk clerk claims she doesn't know how to do refunds and had to call the boss but the refund went through.

The place is old and has not been kept up. The gal who checked me in said that they were re-modeling. If that is really true will give them the benefit of the doubt. Had problems getting checked in because she said I had not paid. I did pay thru you guys. I had confirmation number and printout showing paid. My bank account has been hit with another charge from them so I have to deal with that today.
