Apartamentos Fernão de Ornelas by Heart of Funchal

Very nice apartment in the heart of Funchal with supermarket, restaurants, parking garage and bus stations nearby. The hosts were nice and available for questions. We did not miss anything.

Clean and modern

Clean, well equiped, great locarion.

Lovely apartment, very spacious and it did have two air conditioning machines, one for the bedroom and one in the kitchen / front room area, in a quiet area, 1 minute walk to the farmers market, 2 minutes from the old town and 1 minute from a supermarket. Great location for exploring the new and old town. I was kept informed on check in details by email and whatsapp messages and also received recommendations for restaurants are Funchal.

Our host was so helpful with recommendations and booking transport. She provided quick responses to questions. The location was perfectly located both for convenience to many sights and quiet at night.

Only that we couldn't stay longer

We very much enjoyed are stay there were 4 of us and 2 double beds. It was in a perfect location in the heart of Funchal, spotlessly clean and the apartment had everything you needed for living like -cooking and washing clothes ect. The people who run the apprtments are very welcoming and easy to contact if you needed anything Great for a girls holiday -Just needed more then one mirror.

Fabulous apartment in the heart of the old town! Perfect location!! 100% recommended!!! We arrived a few hours before our check in time, but Alexandra was there to welcome us so we could leave our luggage and explore the city whilst the apt was being prepared. On the last day we could leave our cases in the storeroom and continue to explore Funchal, before our late flight home (and when my wife forgot to pick up her boots, Filipa found us at the bus stop to return them). These touches make all the difference!!!

Enough space for two. Grocery, market and parking space is very close. Also you can reach the see and bus stop in couple of minutes. Big fridge with freezer. Airco in living room and in bed room if needed. Fresh flower with nice welcome message also a pack of biscuit. Very easy checkin with lockbox and keycode. Customer service / host available, kind and responsive. There is a dishwasher and washing machine even with detergent and capsules for the dishwasher

There is a coffee shop just under the window that opens at 6 AM that is not only noisy but cigarette smoke is provided. If you close the window then it's much better, but then you miss the chance of having fresh air, and then you need the airco. Damaged fry pan in kitchen Unsharp knives There should be more cuttleries provided No vacuum cleaner or such Reliability of the wifi Carpet in living room heavily losing strains and collected by clothes Convertible sofa is not the best to sit on Dishwasher was not filled with salt/shine.
