Ocean House Boutique Hotel & Motel

We liked our stay at Ocean house. The bathroom needs updating and the bed could use an upgraded mattress. All in all a fun place.

Staff was friendly and was a clean room. beach was right there, walking distance to park, etc. was a quiet good time.

Awful!! The entire property was dirty and in disrepair! The rooms are hard to find initially with staff a block away from rooms. Entire experience was bad. Room had a/c unit in cut hole could see daylight all around it, broken window above it with exhaust going right back in room, surfaces were all dirty and the matteress and box springs under bedding were absolutely appalling, looked as if had been pulled out of a dirty river or dumpster! Leaking toilet, broken burnt lamps/ shades, mold in bathroom, broken rotted deck boards throughout property, flashing broken deck light right outside door/window, door was not securely locking, and to top it off a loud train 50ft away blares past your room every 1/2 hr until about 2am! At which time they then decide to loudly dump the dumpsters which are 30 ft away in back and front views of property/rooms. False advertising leaning towards fraud. We left immediately and drove 400 miles home. Never to return.

The floors were incredibly dirty

Beautifully decorated, very comfortable bed. The only complaint is that the heat pump/air conditioning unit was so loud that we had to unplug it and only run the small window a/c.

Location on the beach was great. Bright and airy room.

Housekeeping never came, despite asking the second day. Then when we asked for a late checkout, it couldn't be done because "they needed to get the room ready for the next guest".
