Courtyard by Marriott Lansing Downtown

The staff at the hotel is fantastic! There was - as often a problem with the "Hotel" booking and the staffers helped with remarkable diligence. The area the hotel is in is felt a bit seedy, but the hotel was new and clean. This was another incident of a booking through "Hotel" or "Expedia" causing us problems at check in. Going forward, we are not likely to use them again.

The beds were very comfortable, the staff all kind and friendly. The room is a nice size and hotel a good proximity to all.

I don't think they finished cleaning our room completely before giving it to us. Previous guests dirty towels were under the sink and nothing was replenished. This was a huge turnoff in the confidence of cleanliness. We had to go downstairs to get our own towels, and then back down to get the sheets for the couch bed when we realized there were none. The only downfall to the location is a lot of homeless people hang out directly in front/ behind the hotel, and that made us uncomfortable (and sad) running to and from the car for things (begging for $)

Located near a few good restaurants and right next door to a grocery store. A little loud in the hallways. AC pretty loud (which helped hide the extra noise from rooms nearby). Kind staff.

The wifi password was not posted in the room. The hotel had a restaurant, but it was not open during the listed hours of operation.

Great option for a last second stay

My stay at this hotel was disappointing from the start. I had to wait almost two hours to check in using the self-service kiosk, which was painfully slow and frustrating. While I waited, another guest who had been locked out of his room was also stuck there. The check-in area was cramped and uncomfortably hot, making the wait even worse. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there. Once I finally got to my room, I noticed that the shower curtain was clearly not clean, and the comforter on the bed had stains, which made me question the overall cleanliness and attention to detail.
