Palacio Provincial San Juan, Adults only, Curio Collection by Hilton

Location was excellent, condition of such an old property was excellent, staff were very friendly and helpful.

Beds were a little uncomfortable (very firm), and housekeeping didn't clean the room every day (even on days we were gone the entire day). We stayed 4 nights and the bed was made only twice, bathroom wasn't cleaned, only towels replaced. Bar service on the main floor was not very friendly at all.

The front desk staff (including Racheal and Adriana and the bellmen on 2/16 for check in and 2/20 afternoon for check out) were friendly and helpful each time we stopped for assistance or with questions. If you have breakfast at Consular, make sure to sit in Kiara’s section. She is delightful, nice, and provided recommendations for places to go. Honestly, her smiling face is a great way to start every morning. Access to the beach area at the Courtyard Marriott in Isla Verde is included with your stay, just ask at the front desk. It’s a great beach day, with complimentary chairs, towels, and umbrellas on the beach with food/beverage delivery right to you, and multiple options for food and drink inside the hotel along with a small casino. It’s about a 20 minute Uber drive. If you do Uber from the hotel, we found that using the sandwich shop El Meson are your pick up point worked the best. There is a government building across from the main entrance of the hotel, so the street is typically closed to traffic. The bellman even offered to take our luggage to the corner for us the day we checked out. I felt that the service at the rooftop bar tended to be slow and not particularly friendly given how nice the rest of the staff is. Efran (? spelling) and Zuriel made great drinks, but getting help, even after being there for several hours daily for a week, was challenging even when it was not busy. That’s the only reason for 4 stars versus 5. The pool itself is lovely with a view of the bay and is a great place to relax, cool off, and recharge after morning tours. I’d absolutely stay here again. The location is perfect for walking exploration of Old San Juan, and the daily glass of champagne in Consular, and Rose happy hour from 5-5:30 in the courtyard are a nice touch. The king room was spacious and was well cleaned daily. The double doors outside the room facing the courtyard provided great noise cancelling on the interior. Any city noise from cars or people on the street died down by midnight on the weekends and did not affect sleep quality. Also, being an adult only hotel was a wonderful bonus!

I stay at many Hilton properties during my travels and Palacio Provincial is the epitome of what I’ve come to expect from the Hilton name. The staff was welcoming from the moment we took our first step onto the property. Andrea, Carlos, Rachel and many others went above and beyond to accommodate and provide me with an extra special birthday weekend getaway! The staff at the rooftop lounge were also amazing! I loved spending the day touring all of Old San Juan and then stepping up to the rooftop lounge and feeing like I was at a relaxing retreat. Tip: catch the rooftop sunset- amazing!

I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my recent experience. As a Hilton Lifetime Diamond member and a global traveler, I hold high expectations for my stays. During a recent trip to Old San Juan, I found myself in a lodging catastrophe at a non-Hilton property (perhaps not my best choice). In distress, I called the Palacio Provincial and was greeted by Rachael, who managed to secure the last available room for the remainder of my stay. Within 30 minutes of that call, I arrived at the Palacio Provincial, where Rachel and her manager warmly welcomed me and facilitated a swift check-in. The experience at the property was fantastic all around – from the location and restaurant to, most importantly, the exceptional staff. Rachael went above and beyond, checking in with me during my stay to ensure everything was going well. I would like to recognize Rachael for her outstanding service and for turning a bad situation into a positive outcome. Great job, Hilton – your selection and training of personnel are truly firing on all cylinders. Keep up the excellent work!

The personell are great . Everybody was very kind and acomodating . Raúl and Nancy were very nice and accommodating. We had a very pleasant satay. The hotel is centrally located and you can walk to almost al restaurants and clubs.

Old San Juan was a great place to spend time with an old friend and Palacio Provincal was a lovely home base. The atria and roof top pool areas are attractive and we enjoyed spending time there. Our room was spacious and great for two friends traveling together. The staff was attentive and we appreciated the accessibility of the restaurant and the daily rose happy hour! At the front desk, Rachael Greene deserves special recognition. She helped us with so many aspects of our stay, from helping us with lost luggage to making a spa appointment and providing restaurant recommendations. She is a true asset to the hotel. I also appreciated how the staff responded to an issue with our stay that was out of the control of the property and the staff by offering us an appropriate discount. I will return to Palacio Provincal in Old San Juan.

Great service! Happy hour was 5:00-5:30pm. Raul was an excellent server, he even brought us a glass of wine to our table on a delightful tropical patio. They offered an impressive rose, from California, of course, it was great. Rooms were very nice, high ceilings and beautiful simple cultural decor! Classy and inviting! Close to the best in old San Juan! Barra China(home of the first Pina Colada)

kein Buffet, leider nur eine sehr kurze Menükarte Die Buchung wurde angeblich wärend unserer Anreise storniert, so dass bei Ankunft in der Nacht keine Zimmer zur Verfügung stand- angeblich auf Grund einer fehlerhaften Kreditkarte !!! Erst nach langen Diskussionen konnte ein Zimmer- am kommenden Tag nochmals mit einem Umzug- gebucht werden- übrigens mit der gleichen Kreditkarte !!
