Great food and excellent staff

I have never experienced such incredible hospitality and we felt like VIPs from the moment we arrived. The most special people who put their heart and souls into this beautiful hotel. We felt like family when we left. Thank you to all of you. Excellent location - the best in Hikkaduwa. Exquisite big pool.

Fantastic location with excellent beach. Immaculately clean, comfortable room with terrace. Food is delicious. Spa treatment was incredible. Absolutely top hotel where the staff would do anything for you. Every single one of the person was helpful, friendly and kind. Thank you for this wonderful stay, we will definitely return.

The location of this property is great and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. It stops there.

There are many things that need improving here. Firstly the breakfast is not even a two star. Limited choices, awful coffee and tea that taste like dish water, they have really put a tight budget on breads and juice- if you want to call it that. For a four star hotel, and I have stayed in many the breakfast really put us off the hotel. Every hotel we have been to in Sri Lanka had water filters and free water, you get a small bottle each day which again is poor. The pool needs some ambience, no music playing throughout the day, just the chatter of the staff and the tv. You have to sign a towel out each day and pay $50 if you do not sign it back in. The resturant for lunch and dinner is expensive, do not bother there are such better options around. Also no flexibility in breakfast times, once 10am hits there is no chance.

The staff were amazing, they were all so welcoming. I had the pleasure of spending my birthday at the hotel. My boyfriend and the staff planned a birthday surprise including a happy birthday message on the table using petals as well as a cake. I have inserted pictures. They made my birthday so special and I had a great two nights celebrating at The Lucky Elephant, would definitely recommend staying for special occasions. The pool was very nice and the view looking out onto the beach was amazing, helped with cocktails delivered to the sun bed from the bar. A special mention to Disura, Dulaj, Kushan, nethmi, Geethika for making the two nights and birthday dinner very special and memorable. Thank you!
