Lower Trengale Farm Holiday Cottages

We stayed in Fowey Cottage, a beautiful 4 bedroom cottage, with 2 ensuites with showers and 1 family bathroom. The cottage was beautifully set out, with a beautiful balance of modern & authentic. The beds were super comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the little personal touches such as tea coffee milk and scones on arrival were lovely. The grounds are immaculate, and the children loved running around the woods and meeting all the farms animals. It is perfectly situated so you are enough into the countryside for everything to be peaceful, but close enough to drive to the nearest towns for some necessities, however there is a lovely little honesty shop on the grounds too! The games room was a huge hit for our older kids, and kept them out of our hair for a few hours! The WiFi was faultless, even when we had many devices connected. The weather was kind to us for February, but even if it had been pouring down, we could have happily stayed in the cosy cottage in front of the log burner, playing games around the table with the children! We would 100% stay here again, our only downfall was that we didn't book long enough!!

The cottage felt really cosy, there was complimentary food and biscuits, it was nice and tidy and well equipped, a good guide left by the hosts, good facilities such as play park for kids, games room, decent WiFi, we didn’t take advantage but the hosts provided a menu if you wanted to order anything from the honesty shop such as alcohol and they would deliver to your door, was perfect for our weekend break visiting family.

Lovely log burner with a few logs to keep you going. Lovely welcome with freshly baked scones, jam and clotted cream. Free fresh eggs from the honesty shop. Complimentary dishwasher tablets and free use of the washing machine. Everything was clean and well kept, excellent kitchen facilities and comfy cozy sofa and beds.

Could get a bit cold in the bathroom and double bedroom. Roll top Bath could be difficult to get in and out of.

It was a modern cosy cottage, heating backed up by a wood burner, but for the summer there was a children’s play area, a drying room and grounds to walk in. Well placed to enjoy the surrounding area and the hosts on hand to help with any little problems. Just about everything had been thought of to make it an enjoyable experience

Could do with better signage off the road. It was easy once you knew but we drove round and round.

We loved absolutely everything about the cottage and the surrounding area. Can’t recommend it enough. One of the best places we have ever stayed.

Home made scones with clotted cream and jam waiting for us. Fridge stocked with milk and complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets provided. Laundry room with detergent provided. Honesty shop stocked with essentials and free eggs from their hens. Cottage clean and welcoming. Hosts very helpful and attentive x
