Economy Inn Sylva

The rooms had been remodeled. It was neat and clean. The river flowing behind the motel was nice. Right beside of the historic library and across from the park. Great location. Nice 4th of July weekend. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I wish there were an easy way to access the creek behind the hotel from my room.

A lovely location. Small but comfortable rooms. The people running this motel were lovely and accommodating.

Where to begin. The minute we walked in our room, the smell almost knocked me out. It was SO strong. It was a horrible mix of some stinky food, sewage, and some fragrance/cleaner that was trying to mask it all. The sewage smell was infinitely worse in the bathroom. They use window AC units, which are so loud you cannot hear the TV unless its blasting. The bedding needs to be completely replaced (mattress, pillows, sheets, etc.). There were some stains on the sheets. Honestly the entire place needs new furniture, to be aired out, and deep cleaned, and that would be just a start.

Very cean room. Reasonable rates. Wonderfully nice staff and owners. Love the mountain stream out back. I went for a business trip and another hotel in town was being renovated. The Economy Inn just became my new choice for the next scheduled trip.

No breakfast. Coffee maker was the small tiny inefficient that makes horrible coffee

The bed was not comfortable the box springs needed to be replaced it made noice each time you turned over and the mattress could be updated. Could use another picnic table out side to enjoy the brook for more than two guests.

It was dated but clean. Good for a quick overnight stay. Owners were super nice.
