Economy Inn Sylva

Easy access to check in desk in this site which needed outside approach. Well lit parking and generous width parking slip

There was no added door safety cross bar, no snack machine to get pastry, crackers or juice. Sweet n low is out of the question for most who use artificial sugar. Needs at least Splenda or Equal. Metal bed base responds noisy with movement. Despite my not being heavy or tall

great location on a stream. nice older buildings in great shape.

found 1 roach crawling on the bed when I arrived. since I was in the mountains i figure just part of being near the woods. That night around 3am I woke up to use the bathroom and when I turned on the light a bunch of roaches when scrambling to hide.

My room was clean. Just needed a place to stay for one night. Would stay here again.

The Economy Inn is my go-to anytime I make a quick trip to Sylva and western North Carolina. It’s quiet, clean, and easily walkable to the awesome shops and restaurants in town.

The location to WCU and downtown Sylva is great. The creek behind the property was very pleasant to listen to at night.

The bed was very firm and loud due to the metal support underneath. The sink light in the main room turned on when the bathroom light was on. That was disruptive to sleep.

The rooms are very clean, the linens looked new and pretty. The bed was comfortable. Nice rocking chair outside the room. Pretty view of the Lovely small creek behind the hotel. The couple at the check in desk were very nice. My sister and i would stay here again and i would recommend to friends and family.

The back window facing the river was lovely. We could sleep with open window and listen to it. Proximity into town.

The room and especially sheets had that charity shop/ Febreeze smell. Apart from giving me a headache I wondered if the sheets actually were clean… there should be no need for any spray if sheets are washed and room is cleaned after every single occupation.

Sheets were old and in terrible condition.

The property is very basic and clean enough. Beds are not very comfy but not terrible either. We wanted a cheap one night stay so it worked for us but we would not stay there again nor recommend. Electric outlets didn't work, AC was very loud and did not work properly (fan ran but it couldn't keep a temperature of 78!!) the sink area was caulked badly to keep disjointed pieces of countertop together. Water pressure was good, and the river at the back was a great view in the morning.
