Economy Inn Sylva

The place was clean very close to downtown next to the river peaceful friendly welcoming everything you need at a ridiculously low price. A YES FROM ME

It was a great stay, the hotel was in the perfect location for what we wanted to do. Room was very clean but the pillows bed was very wore out. The shower was nice and very hot water. Was told that the total for the 2 nights was $199.28 but when we checked in the total that we was charged was $207.25 not sure why?

This motel was an old building. Road in front was loud. No lobby. Had to ring a doorbell for service. The room was clean, but when I took a shower brown water came out of the faucet. There was no Wi-Fi. No complementary breakfast.

The only positive thing about this stay was the location/proximity to Sylva's charming downtown.

We booked a queen suite with disability access on Booking.com, upon arrival we were informed the previous guest occupying that room extended their stay and were downgraded to a different room. Thankfully, this room still had a walk-in shower, however the water temp never got hot and took 20min just to be lukewarm. The size of the room and quality/cleanliness of the bed (which rested on a noisy metal sheet instead of a frame and had an obviously neglected cover) was below average and didn't suit our needs, nor did we feel it was worth the over $100 we paid. Knowing what I know now, I would've opted to stay at a more reputable location for a few dollars more.

Love the veiw out the back window! But the room was very small. It would suit the "normal" traveler very well. And though the property was very clean, it is dated. It's a quaint roadside motel, and I was happy that we stayed there. Just wasn't ready for the limited space.

I am visiting the Sylva Police Station later this morning to report an attempted fraud and extortion attempt by the management of this property.
