I love the hotel. When I booked it showed a rooftop bar. That is closed. I think it is available for private bookings. It is surprising there is no pool. The great things. I was greeted by a valet who unloaded my baggage and took to my room. Parked my car. It was late and he suggested if I had not eaten that the restaurant was still open. I ate at the hotel restaurant 4 times. It was delicious and convenient just stay in. Even though I mentioned some negatives I still give the hotel 5 stars. I would come back. BTW: I think my granddaughter and new husband are staying there on their wedding night right before flying out for their honeymoon. That happened because they visited me at the hotel while I was in for her Bridal Shower at the Country Club. Sorry I write a book!! LOL

Nice hotel and will stay there again when in town

The hotel is modern and clean throughout. The staff are friendly and helpful. A fellow named Gene not only made some recommendations for us for places nearby, he walked us outside and pointed us in the right direction. The other staff members we met made it clear that they wanted us to enjoy our stay. Our room was a standard size for this type of hotel. Beware of the local occupancy tax. We were charged approximately $60 per night on the weekend. The one annoying feature was the alarm clock that is too bright. Some hotels provide only room service upon request, but I do not know if this is the case here. If it is supposed to be daily, they missed one day and left the ironing board in our room the whole weekend. There is a restaurant with a good variety of selections on the ground floor and also a spot to get coffee and small items. The hotel is located on a street loaded with small specialty shops and restaurants. Across the street from the hotel is the Little Professor Bookstore. It has a great kids section and areas to sit and read. The hotel has a valet and self-parking lot.

For context, I have been staying in Hilton properties for well over 20 years ('Diamond for life'). This was the among the dirtiest rooms at any property and definitely among their Curio portfolio. A week later and still no acknowledgment from the GM who I'd asked the concerns to be raised & was assured they would. Also no response via the Hilton survey I completed. This boils down to an incompetent manager. Bedframe, doors, etc. covered in dust, carpet had not been vacuumed, mold in the shower, & the grout on floors was filthy. Fitness center was dusty and dirty, and fans covered in dust. While the property has great potential, it won't be achieved with management as it is today.

We had a fun stay in Homewood. The town is a fun place to visit, and staying in the hotel made it even easier. The hotel breakfast was great. Their avocado toast was one of the best I ever had.
