Legendary Waters Resort & Casino

We came for a 24 hour visit to the Red Cliff Reservation. Rooms are clean and area is VERY quiet. Gorgeous views of marina and surrounding lake. NOTICE! There is a tribal discount but you can NOT book through 3rd party. Tribal members should call for their reservation (as it is a larger discount) but everyone else can book through Expedia for fast and easy service. Pool was very basic and a bit on the small side but was a nice surprise since the site doesn’t mention a pool. My kids entertain themselves but not much else to do at the hotel for kids besides the hotel and hot tub. Hot tub goes from inside to outside but is VERY small. Happy to report that the pool and hot tub was clean. Casino is basic and to be honest, a bit disappointing. Only slots available, no table games. Not much of a casino experience. Hotel bar was also basic and the bartender (Ray) was an interesting character. Not very engaging and a bit “gruff”. Overall, casino and bar was underwhelming. Hotel food was actually pretty good! They only had take-out food available while we were there, (think heavy apps & bar food) but it was surprisingly good and mid-range in price. Staff at kitchen was very friendly and even delivered the food to our seats at the bar! We were there for reservation business and the powwow. We would stay again but may want to try a place with more things to do around the area (like in Bayfield or Ashland) but will continue to support the Reservation.

Never seen a casino w/only slot machines. Tells me there is no chance of beating the house, as is sometimes possible w/blackjack with a skilled player. So sad to see so many sucked in!

No pool or hot tub. Restaurants closed at 8. Asked about a 2md night with discount and they did not give us one. So we left.

The staff seemed indifferent to requests and concerns. In general the accommodations need upgrading and rethinking its services including food and entertainment and the location needs to consider how the staff engages with the customers.

Would not recommend staying at Legendary Waters hotel. 3 main reasons, we were never notified that pool and hot tub area were down for service / maintenance. The staff could never figure out how to refill the "2 coffee pods and creamers", (we talked w/the two gals), over 4 nights! We tried the on site restaurant for breakfast once. Food was horrible, my wife's oatmeal was uneatable, even after sending back. Needless to say, all meals and drinks were in town. Look somewhere else...

The view of the lake was nice, we enjoyed breakfast sitting out on the deck so we could see the lake. In our room the floor area by toilet was wet- not sure if the toilet is leaking or what was causing that. The pool and hot tub was out of service, not sure what was wrong with that but did not see any work being done. We got there at 2:00, we knew the check in time is 3:00, when asked if we could possibly check in early, we were told we could not, because a large group had just left earlier and the housekeeping staff was still trying to get the rooms cleaned and we probably could not even check in at 3:00. We left and did our in town plans, then came back and checked in. The hotel staff were very nice.

We arrived at check-in time and had to wait about 15 or 20 minutes until we could get in our room. The TV remote did not work properly. Very difficult to change the channel. Bathroom lighting was terrible, very dark, hard to see in the mirror for shaving. The pool and hot tub not working and shut down. The location was very good for us. That was the best.

Receptionist was horrible. Insulted basically everyone who comes in the place. Told us she didnt care for any tourists. Well it was our first ever visit. Thats us i guess. I The property is on the red cliff reservation, which is not revealed. It states Bayfield. Its not. We left the very next day. I am a disabled veteran of 34 yrs. I will never use expedia or stay at a native American property again. I will not abide with any disrespect or insults by someone who treats me or my minority wife with such distain. Immediately. Expedia sucks and so do the staff at your property.

Paid the full price when the whirlpool was broke no swimming pool and hot tubs. No coupons for staying there. The bed was lumpy. Terrible place

The property and room is very outdated. The bed was hard and very worn down. The air conditioner was extremely loud when it would turn on and we were unable to use it overnight. There are no food options after 8pm and the casino is very run down with old machines and half of them didn’t work. The price for one night is outrageous for this property
