Windsor/Ascot/Bracknell beautiful barn

This is a little gem. I loved how much character it had and that it had a kitchen. So much better than staying in a hotel.

Very pretty little barn. Nicely decorated. Comfy bed. Hosts have managed to fit all you need in a very compact space

No privacy from hosts. You're practically in their back garden. No room to swing a cat. I know it's old, but the lights, fan and beams were thick with dust

The location was excellent Very relaxing and exactly what I needed Short distance to shops and transport Excellent pubs locally

It was just right for me

The Barn is pretty and the location is within lovely countryside, very peaceful and quiet.

The Barn was much smaller than appears in the photos. There was little room for the pair of us to move around. Both the oven and hob didn't work despite the owner trying to rectify this, which was difficult as we had taken our own food for dinner the first night. The bathroom was tiny and the sink was so small that you couldn't wash your face without water ending up on the floor. The wall-hung cup meant for toothbrushes and toothpaste was coming off the wall as was the toilet roll holder. The kitchen didn't appear to be well equipped - no sharp knives or bread knife We found slugs on the floor when we returned the first day and one in the sink - is this a continual problem? Some of the cushions on the bed were marked as was the small sofa. I couldn't say this was spotlessly clean. All in all, this stay was definitely not worth the £250 that we were charged for 2 nights. Such a shame as the location was chosen as it was a mile or so from the friends we were visiting and so could have been perfect for us.
