Windsor/Ascot/Bracknell beautiful barn

Location was rural and quiet and just what i was looking for

The desk and working area could have been bigger and the internet/ wifi needs to be improved.

Beautifully present barn, in a great location.

There was heavy rain, the garden path was covered with water, this then leaked into the barn. Both the bathroom and kitchen floor was wet.

Whilst I can appreciate that the accommodation would be idyllic in the summer. Having arrived in Dec with minus temperatures and freezing fog the accommodation was less than ideal. The place was freezing. It was warmer outside. We put the heaters on and made a decision to stay elsewhere that night. There was no way those 2 heaters were going to get the place warm. We were right. Having left the heaters on overnight we arrived back around 10am and the room was still decidedly cool. Having sat down, we experienced the draft coming through the barn door. We went and purchased a fan heater. It still took another 3 hours to get the place comfortable. The room was extremely small with just enough space to walk round the bed. At 5ft8 I’m not the smallest person but the shower was a challenge. The toilet moved when you got off the seat and the cistern banged against the wall. Most disconcerting. There was toothpaste under the tap and hairs in the sink. When we went to have a drink the glass had lipstick on it. The hot water tap was brokenin the kitchen. The kitchen area contained a mountain of electrical socket adapters which was unsafe and the rest of the room was a combination of adaptors and extension cables. The bed is the squeakiest bed I have ever slept in. I didn’t get any sleep and was very glad to get home.
