"Some Good, Some Not So Good"

The Hampton Inn checks certain important boxes. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet and that’s probably the most important thing on a one night stay. The front desk was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was what you’d expect at a Hampton - good with lots of choices. Here is the downside. After staying in several suite-like rooms driving to and from Florida, we found the conventional room lacking (no sofa to watch TV; no separation of toilet from sink/vanity in bathroom. Also the location, while convenient to the highway, is a wasteland in terms of restaurants close by, say within 2-3 miles, unless you want fast food. That said we did get a good night’s sleep and were ready to hit the road in the morning.
