Cairngorm Lodges

The fire place was amazing , the Christmas tree was a bonus added to our amazing trip in Scotland. Quiet and very cozy.

All great.

Location and the log burner at this time of year is really good.

The sofa.....bit parnickity but the cushions were forever moving anf felt like i was fixing them every 5 mins.

The location is beautiful and the cabin is really cosy with the fire.

Could maybe do with new couches, one of the the cushions just slid off as you were sitting.

The lodge was excellent everything was cleaned to a high standard upon inspection and included everything you would need for a comfortable stay the shower had a decent power which was nice. The wood burning stove was ready to be lit when we got there and it was glorious a real bonus to this stay. There was a tv with a separate dvd player in the lounge with a bookshelf full of dvds and books to use we noted before we came that you could take a book with you if you hadn’t finished reading it as long as you replaced it with another we duly took some old dvds to leave for others to watch what a wonderful idea! There was a BBQ right outside on the porch we used it every night the utensils were included as well. We stayed in the Osprey Lodge right next to the Lochan and although it was privately owned it was still a spectacular view outside the cabin, the wildlife was abundant with many varieties of birds and birds of prey, plenty of red squirrels came to eat the nuts we had brought with us along with the bird seeds and fat balls such a glorious sight watching them all enjoy the feast. There were many little walks around the lodge but we didn’t venture too far as we enjoyed sitting on the picnic bench outside the lodge so much and to top it all was the wonderful weather we were blessed with 22-24C but I’m sure it’s a special place whatever the weather all in all we would highly recommend a stay here if you get the chance.

The main bed was a bit too firm for us.

Everything, plus the pub up the road was an added bonus.

We loved how cosy and homely the lodge was from the moment you stepped in the door. Everything was so easy to find and use. Sarah was an exceptional host she checked in on us and was extremely helpful with how to find things and gave ideas on what to do. We couldn't of asked for a better stay and will more than likely return in the future.
