Roadworks and detour around the hotel were not forewarned when enquiring about accessing the car park. Info in that regard would have been helpful.

Really good location for a conference at the National Conference Centre. Very modern and new feel, and big, nice-looking rooms with comfortable beds.

Like many modern hotels there are things missing that would be there in a more 'traditional' hotel - a small gym is the only onsite facility within the hotel. The booking.com description is a bit misleading as it implies that breakfast is onsite, whereas it's actually in a cafe that's affiliated with the hotel. Great cafe, but not part of the hotel. The room service is also not onsite - it's Meat & Wine Co, which I like personally, but it's very focused on meat, and doesn't have the choice that typical room service would have. As long as you read the fine print and understand this all going in, you'll be fine. I had to ask for my room temp to be reset, as the room was really hot, and the climate control panel was malfunctioning / disconnected. Lastly - this is out of the hotel's control, but there's a lot of construction going on nearby, and myself and others I met at the conference were woken up at 5.30am a couple of times by construction noise.

Would have liked a room with both double bed and single. Not one or the other

The kitchen sink needed a good clean. There wasn't any complimentary water. The lifts were very confusing.
