Callicoon Hills

The staff was amazing, the food was delicious, and the room was clean and comfy. The views were spectacular and the hike to the A-Frame was peaceful.

We had an incident with a caterpillar. LOL but bedsides that, it was amazing.

The staff were very nice and attentive. The location is beautiful and the overall feel of the property is quaint and peaceful. The one meal I had in the restaurant on-site was very good!

The property claimed internet connection however I had ZERO internet connection in my A-frame. There could of been connection elsewhere in other rooms.. in the main hall the internet was fine but ZERO in my A-frame which in some way is nice to unplug, but annoying when you needed it periodically. This should of been stated in the listing. It is not. The showerhouse for the A-frames was clean however the showering experience was horrible. Barely a dribble water pressure coming out of the showers (I tried two separate showers to see if it was just a fluke with one) and the water was just luke-warm, leaving me in a cold shower when it was 40-degrees outside. It was miserable. Also, in both showers none of the courtesy soaps/shampoos/conditioners were full.. all empty. No one seems to be filling them. Also the sink in one was full of water making me think no one is actually looking into this Showerhouse. The A-Frames themselves have no operational windows to forget about fresh air. Teeny, tiny fan or heater which (I needed the heat) had just one setting which made the A-frame too hot so I had to continually get in and out of bed to keep the A-frame from being either too hot or too cold.. Finally, my card that unlocks the A-frame kept loosing its code/connection therefore I had to keep walking down to the front desk (which is about 10-min walk) to get a new card to get it which was very annoying. Death by a thousand cuts.. many little inconveniences or issues which made me feel that I will not be back. I can get something better in Upstate next time.

Well located near Calicoon and Livingston Manor so there is a lot to do. The staff was really nice.

There were a ton of dogs which we loved but with the thin walls the barking inside of the hotel rooms got a little loud at times. There were aspects that were quiet and peaceful but in general the property was a little loud.

Staff were awesome/ Very friendly, you feel at home Extremely dog friendly Great outdoor pool. I wish it was heated Great brunch at the restaurant

Room was a little small and no coffee maker But they had it in Lobby so no big deal

We stayed in the A frame overnight and unfortunately there is no water in the bathroom to shower, wash hands even brush teeth. Something broke in their water system and it takes time for them to fix it during our stay. We end up checking out just changing clothes. But otherwise, its a great hotel we can recommend and go back to. We just got unlucky during our stay.
