Apartment Westside

Can't really comment on the Westside Apartment as we were directed to different apartment than we have booked. Landlord Christian has sent us an email on 25.07 giving details on how to enter the apartment on our arrival. Address given: Apartment Treetown on the 1st floor – the middle one on the right, Altmühlstraße 12, 93059 Regensburg. All is good - but we have booked Apartment Westside, Freiherr-Vom-Stein-Str. 4, 93049 Regensburg. We did not notice this until 07.08 and when enquired, Christian replied that we have been rebooked to Apartment Treetown as the Westside apartment was closed for essential tradesman work from 10.08. We were promised that Treetown will be is exactly identical as Westside. Anyway we had no choice really - it was now too late to find another place as everything on Booking.com and AirBnB was already booked. Unfortunately, comparing to pictures of apartment Westside - this apartment was totally opposite. Picking keys up from given location was easy and straightforward which was optimistic. Main bed was clean and comfortable. And yes, there was hot water in taps. And surprisingly well equipped kitchenette... And unfortunately, that's about it.

Cleanliness - most parts of the apartment Treetown were absolutely filthy, full of cobwebs and looked like no one been in there for ages. Soda bed - so dirty and smelly I would not allow anyone lay on it. We were given another mattress for our youngest son - this mattress was also so dirty I wouldn't allow anyone to lay on it. Bathroom - disgusting, with dirty smears on walls in need of refurb with partially blocked bath that took ages to drain. Area - really unpleasant with block of flats around and resident were chaining outdoor tables and benches together and locking with padlock to prevent them being stolen. Wi-Fi - possibly there was Wi-Fi but password we were given did not match and we couldn't connect to the router. Parking at the property - non-existing. We were told that we will find our parking space called Gardenview directly in front of the house in the corner. Guess what - block of flats around, not houses and no place called Gardenview to be seen anywhere! We eventually parked on a big car park in front of the block of flats we were staying in, only to be shouted at shortly after by some obnoxious chap, yelling at us that this car park does not belong to Altmühlstraße 12 and forcing us to move our car to the main street. We couldn't even talk to him as he was constantly yelling to move our car and didn't want to hear anything. At the end we moved the car as we weren't sure if he would make any damage if we decided to leav e the car where we have parked it. I contacted Christian about this with no reply. Wonder how come landlord wants to charge €5 for parking space where there is no parking space to be booked, only main street! This is ridiculous! I would not recommend this apartment to anyone!

Bei geschlossenem Fenster war es OK, sonst sehr laut. Im Dunkeln ist die Wohnung sehr schwer zu finden, auch die Schlüsselbox. Die Küche könnte besser ausgestattet sein. Das Schlaf-/Wohnzimmer ist OK, das Bett für 1 Person gut. Für 2 P. Ist es etwas schmal.Heizung ist gut!
