Aloft by Marriott Wilmington at Coastline Center

Location was perfect, we loved the voice. It’s so close to so many restaurants, bars, and cute little shops. The amenities are great. I loved the games in the lobby.

There was nothing I didn’t like about it. Everything was great. I just wish breakfast was included like th old days.

Wanted to love it due to location, but it’s very outdated and worn. The outdoor seating area is disgusting, faded and black moldy cushions. The couch cushions are the super old ‘pow’ graphic ones that are black with grime. Lifted up the toilet seat and the lid came off in my hand. The beds are super old, no padding and very ‘spring forward’.

Tolle Lage am Wasser, das kleine Stadtzentrum über den River Walk zu Fuß erreichbar. Parkplatz ist preislich voll ok mit 20$. Modern ausgestattet und Zimmer angenehm groß (Eckzimmer). Mitarbeiter extrem freundlich :)

Es ist sehr laut, Zimmer im 5. Stock aber die Autos und lautere Rufe der Menschen draußen hört man. Unser Zimmer ging auf die Rückseite und nicht zum Wasser, da hörte man die ganze Nacht die Lüftungsanlage(?) vom Gebäude gegenüber. Ohne Ohropax hätte ich kein Auge zugetan. Auch der Balkon war dadurch nicht äh attraktiv zu nutzen, einfach zu laut. Sehr schade.

My daughter and I have a reservation for the Aloft Riverfront in Wilmington NC for an overnight stay starting tonight. However, it is 7:45 pm and our room is still not ready. We had a concert to attend at 7:30 pm and ended up getting dressed in the public bathroom. Unacceptable, absolutely. Our entire weekend experience has been compromised. When we first arrived, I was told there were 3 rooms ahead of us. We left to have an early dinner, returned to the front desk and told our room still wasn’t ready and there were 5 rooms ahead of us… what? How did it go from 3 to 5 rooms ahead of us? There wasn’t even a conference room available due to a large wedding party. I was told (though not my problem as a customer), that staff called out and managers were turning over rooms. So, we’re at the concert, it’s almost 8:00 pm and I’ve still not received a text indicating our room is ready. This is unacceptable for any hotel, but especially for the trusted brand of Marriott which both my husband and i are Bonvoy members.
