The smell of weed

We didn't stay! Thank God!

We didn't stay because the room wasn't ready at 7:30pm because they hadn't seen the booking. The door was wide open so we let ourselves in. The hall was full of junk like broken furniture and old carpets and it smelt of weed. A 'cleaner' appeared but looked drugged up and was rude, mumbling "who goes away with 3 dogs"! They are well-behaved dogs, and the hotel is advertised as dog friendly with no stipulation on the number of dogs allowed with one party of 2 family members. She started making up a bed in a room downstairs because she was trying to put us in a tiny room with a double bed and bunk beds. They denied they even had the 'delux family room' that we had booked with two double beds (rooms and sizes in added photos). The owner was drunk and whilst trying to sort out our room over the phone, his gf was screaming blue murder in the background. I'm a patient person, but my boyfriend not so much and he asked for the room we'd paid for or a refund. We were told we couldn't stay then he hung up. I didn't expect much for £63 but I've stayed in other cheap establishments but never had to wait for a room to be made up 6 hours after arriving after check in time. I've never been refused a room because they claim it doesn't exist and I have never been verbally abused by 'staff'.

Bed was comfy, sheets were clean, great location.

The room hadn't been cleaned properly. With things just as chocolate and hair pins on the floor. There was also a large water stain on the ceiling.

Fire alarm going off at 7 am in the morning, heating on full blast couldn’t turn it off my kids couldn’t breath!!!!!

Loads of things no switch or pully to turn off bathroom lights mirrors were filthy room was red hot but couldn't open window as it was literally screwed shut requesred a fan which girl said she would get but never did cups were still covered in tea/coffee beds were really uncomfortable
