SpringHill Suites by Marriott Chicago Chinatown

The entire hotel is probably the cleanest I’ve ever experienced. Location is perfect. Close enough to most of the main Chicago attractions to be convenient, yet not right in the middle of the downtown chaos. Attached parking garage is a very welcome and convenient bonus and the $30/day parking cost is way more affordable than most hotels that are in the actual city and not in the suburbs. We appreciated the extra level of security that this hotel has in place like needing to scan your room key to activate the elevator and to enter the hotel from the parking garage. In a big city setting, this is welcome peace of mind. The room was extremely clean and comfortable and though we brought our own personal cleaning products, I appreciate that the products that are supplied in the hotel room (body wash, shampoo, conditioner) were full sized pump bottles and were of high quality, unlike the sample sized bottles found in most hotels. The beds were comfortable and our two queen bed suite with hide a bed in the couch was plenty roomy for our family of 5. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic! Lots of options and healthy choices (such as turkey sausage, fresh fruits, and Greek yogurt) every day and rotating hot offerings as well. This is far nicer than the self serve waffle bar offered at most complimentary hotel breakfasts. To save hassle of city parking, we Ubered to most of the places we went and ride share pickup is immediately in front of the main hotel entrance. Very convenient! Having noon checkout is also appreciated and later than most standard checkout times we’ve had at other hotels. The Chinatown location is awesome! Lots of great food choices and shopping in walking distance of the hotel. The atmosphere is excellent and an experience in and of itself! Even better still is the hotel staff! Some of the friendliest and most helpful front desk staff we’ve ever had! Special shout out to Brian and Jing, who welcomed us as soon as we stepped in to check in.

The location was good. Everything was between 12 and 17 minutes away that we needed to visit…. Except the airport the airport is like 30 minute drive. The hotel was comfortable, and the room was spacious.

Housekeeping didn’t come and clean my room at any time during my four day stay
