The Ritz-Carlton, Turks & Caicos

Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton was exceptional, defined by the incredible staff. The restaurant team was attentive and knowledgeable, elevating every meal with their superb recommendations. The pool staff ensured we wanted for nothing, creating a truly relaxing oasis. A special mention to Rooms Operation Manager, Richie Bersabe, and his team. Their attention to detail was remarkable, ensuring our room was flawless and our every need was anticipated. The entire experience was made special by the people. We felt genuinely cared for from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Our 35th anniversary trip to Turks and Caicos, our first visit, was made unforgettable by The Ritz-Carlton. While the resort delivered the expected Ritz-Carlton luxury, it was the exceptional level of service and the genuine warmth of the staff that truly set it apart. Every interaction, from check-in to poolside, was marked by incredible friendliness and attentiveness. We especially want to commend Junior Paul (JP) and Luz at the pool and beach. They not only knew it was our anniversary but actively worked to make it special. Luz's thoughtful, personalized anniversary card with a heartfelt message deeply moved us, and JP ensured our days were perfectly relaxing. Evenings at the Casa Nonna bar were a highlight, thanks to Eusebio and the team, whose fantastic energy made our nightcaps a true pleasure. The dining across all restaurants was also superb. JP, Luz, and Eusebio exemplify outstanding hospitality. Their remarkable attentiveness and personal touches elevated our milestone anniversary into a truly cherished memory that we will carry with us long after our visit.

This resort was modern and we loved it. Direct oceanfront, free Valet, staff super helpful. They will set up your chairs on the beach or at the pool and offer non-stop service to your chairs of whatever food or drinks you’d like. Was a great experience. We would come back

This should be de flagged as a ritz carlton. If i had to guess i think Sheraton/westin would be an appropriate brand. 1. Staff is un-trained. Key example: I go to the restaurant, nobody is at host stand. it looked empty and I thought it must be closed. All staff are in the corner laughing with each other. I walk up to them and ask when it opens and they say it’s open. Rest of service was similar. 2. Front desk staff does the bare minimum to recognize elite status. 3. Pool was hardly served. Truly the management is missing out on revenue - there were so many guests waiting to order and who just gave up because nobody was there to take orders. On the plus side, room was clean and modern. But also very generic corporate. Could have been anywhere. Beach was nice. This was my first time visiting Turks. If I come back I’ll stay somewhere smaller and less soulless and corporate. We had dinner next door at seven stars, and at palms - both were miles ahead of ritz on food quality and service.

We had an amazing stay at the Ritz Carlton Turks and Caicos. Beach and the property is so beautiful. Staffs are so great and made our stay memorable. Special mention to front desk guest assistant Tina and Kids club staffs Christina and Addy. Our kids also loved this place and didn’t want to leave at all. Thank you!

Overall a beautiful place. My recommendation would be more staff training in 5 star expectations.

I went to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Darlyn was our server, Him dedication to serving us was incredible, and he made us feel very comfortable throughout our dinner. The food, service, and attention were 20/10. If you come to the hotel, please ask for Darlyn to serve you. You won't regret it.

I just stayed at the Ritz-Carlton in Turks & Caicos this past Sunday–Thursday, and while there were some highlights, I left feeling very underwhelmed for the price and reputation of this property. When I arrived around 3 PM, my room wasn’t ready, which is fine and understandable. The real frustration started when we mentioned it was my friend’s birthday and asked if we could be on a higher floor instead of the first. The front desk immediately told us that because we booked through Expedia, we were not eligible for any type of upgrade. Honestly, this felt both dismissive and ridiculous — spending thousands of dollars at a Ritz should not come down to where you click “book.” After pressing the issue and involving a manager, we were eventually moved, but not until 6 PM. The initial interaction made us feel unwelcome, as if we were being deliberately given the worst room because of how we booked. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable — I especially appreciated the soft bedding and the fact that bottled water was always replenished and complimentary. The property overall, however, felt a bit dated and generic. There was nothing about the design or experience that tied into the Caribbean; it could’ve been a Ritz anywhere in the world. Breakfast was another odd experience. We opted for the buffet, which was confusingly run like a sit-down service. Staff would seat us, but if we just wanted to grab food and sit wherever, it seemed to annoy them. Every day we were also handed a bill for ~$50 per person, told to sign it, and reassured that we “wouldn’t actually be charged.” This created unnecessary stress, especially when paired with the billing mistake we encountered at checkout (more on that below). The buffet itself was average — I enjoyed the omelette station and fresh juice, but the fruit was a huge letdown. No tropical, local fruit, just the same out-of-season apples and melons I could get back home. The beach and ocean were beautiful, and I really want to highlight the young boy who worked tirelessly setting up chairs and umbrellas. He was friendly and helpful every day. Unfortunately, I had a pair of sunglasses go missing after housekeeping came through, and I am 100% certain of where I had left them that morning. When I reported it, housekeeping staff acted as though they didn’t understand English, which felt dismissive and left me uneasy about leaving anything outside the safe for the rest of my stay. I am out of a $250 designer pair of sunglasses with zero apology. Lastly, checkout was the final straw. We had the same front desk staff member from check-in, and once again, it was unpleasant. He handed me a bill for nearly $1,500 and asked me to sign without explanation. When I questioned it, he came back five minutes later to say it was an error and that I actually owed nothing. Had I been in a rush and just signed, I would’ve been out $1,500. For a hotel of this caliber, this kind of mistake is unacceptable. Overall, while there were bright spots — the beach, comfortable room, and attentive beach staff — the management and training at this hotel need serious improvement. The property itself feels outdated and disconnected from the local culture, and multiple issues left me feeling uneasy and unwelcome. For the rates they charge, the experience simply did not match expectations.
