Heritage House Inn on Cape Cod, an Ascend Collection Hotel

First, let me say you get what you paid for. Absolutely would never stay at this place again. It took 18 minutes just to check in. Mildew, damp smell right when you walk in the building. Would never use the ice machine. Finally found our room... had an extremely hard time to get in! Every time having to actually kick the door just to get in. Very musty and damp...sheets were damp...all our clothes were mildew smell and damp. No closet with hangers for clothes. No hooks in bathroom for anything. Not great lighting in room at all. We have pictures to prove if needed.

For the second year in a row, my confirmation was for Heritage House and we were put in Comfort Inn behind Heritahe House. Last year we had no screen in our window. This year our key cards didn't work to get in the building. Get a new key card, couldn't get in the room without literally throwing all your weight agai st the door. We got back from our concert that night at the Melody Tent and thankfully a young man I the hall threw himself against the door to get us in. When we reported it to the desk at check-out, he thought it was the room across the hall. Sorry. I've stayed at Heritage House years ago, no comparison. Putting lipstick on a pig doesn't disguise the pig.

The room was freezing, couldn't turn on heat. They had an area with a counter beside one of the beds. I set our luggage bag under there. Picked up the bag, set it on the bed to get something out and the bottom was covered with huge black dust bunnies. You walked across the floor and your socks were black and froze even though you shut the ac off.

Very well-located, clean, comfortable, good breakfast

TV did not work

Hotel management is untrustworthy. They charged us twice for staying in their hotel.

Was only there for one night, they seemed to be doing some renovating but my room was clean, bed was very comfortable, staff was very friendly.

Good place to stay

Easily walkable to ferries and Main Street

No fitness center, even in the comfort inn.

Place Has bugs (roaches)
