Parking and housekeeper who was fab

Reception and check in. When I arrived I was given 2 card keys in a little folder with written on it the room number. Took the lift to get to my room. Once there following the long corridor my key was not opening the door. I checked if it was the right number and it was. I then called a housekeeper who was so nice, shown her my card and ask her if she can open for me with her master then I will come downstairs to change my keys. I put my bags in. The room itself was spacious with a big TV. The housekeeper told me she told the receptionist about my keys not working. So I went downstairs and give the little folder they took my name again, checked my booking and gave me 2 other cards key. Same again, lift, long corridor after a very long journey, and arriving in front of my door the keys were… not working again! And again the housekeeper opened to me as I was dying to take a shower and didn’t fancy a 3rd trip right now. I took my shower and then went downstairs. The Italian girl was still here but it was a young man with long hair who again took all my details. And he looked at me and said “you are in the wrong room”…. I just couldn’t believe it…. She wrote a number ending with 8 and my room was actually ending with 3. Then he said he will come upstairs with me and help me to move my stuff in the other room as he was unsure this one has been done 🤢 it was showing undone in the system. I kept my calm and quiet I don’t even know how and let him know it looked like it was done to me and I won’t move but if something have to be cleaned I am happy to let the housekeeper in! He wanted to come inside to check and I politely declined. It was too many people already I was dealing with since my arrival. 2 receptionist and 1 HK. So little I knew they won’t be the last people I will see. Then I’ve got a visit in the room from the HK supervisor who visibly didn’t know where he was standing.

It has a good atmosphere and the staff were excellent, particularly the restaurant manager.

Car parking was described as 'available'. This is disingenuous as it has to be paid for and paying via the parking app is time consuming. Although strictly true, when you are in rush to book it's easy to think that parking is included.
