Eyre Square Galway Central Self Catering

Just back from a two night stay , room was clean and bed was comfy . The location is brilliant right beside the bus station, a two minute walk to Eyre square and the carpark is located just beside it as well. Would definately return again, great value considering we booked last minute and it was races week and also a bank holiday. I was sceptical after the reviews but couldn't complain.

Other guests were able to access our room with their key cards. Within the first hour of checking in, two men - complete strangers and not staff - walked straight into our room with their key cards. Over £330 for a two night stay without even the guarantee of being able to keep our belongings safely in the room or even sleeping at night without someone extremely easily walking in. Ridiculous. No refund. Student accommodation during term time and I would be scared to send my kid here with so little safety. After travelling all day, we were desperate for a hot shower but ran the water for 40 minutes and the temperature never went above tepid. Half eaten food under the bed. We left the first night of our stay and had to spend over 600 pounds to book elsewhere last minute. On the way out I checked if our key card could open other rooms and it could. It let me into every room in our block. Absolute disgrace.

This is a fantastic alternative to staying in a very expensive hotel throughout the summer. At 98 euro a night, you can't go wrong. That's I'd you're lucky enough, which we were. Spotlessly clean, ensuite rooms. Communal areas for playing pool, vending machines for midnight munchies, and smoking area for those who partake.

Ideally located and clean property. It met our expectations and needs for a family of 5. The staff was very welcoming and polite.

My wife and I stayed 5 nights in the deluxe studio, booked on booking.com and estended 4 more nights at the reception when we arrived. They asked to pay immediately. We decided to leave one day before and told it 4 days in advance. They did not reund anything and provided strange reasons, different any time I repeated my request for refund. The price of the room was much more expensive than all the other places I have visited in Ireland. The room was nice but the matress was terrible.

Room much smaller than expected, mattress was very uncomfortable (you could feel all the springs), other than 2 towels and hand soap, no other toiletries. Did have a fan for room which was an added bonus.

The video and directions were good. Reception was friendly and the apartment was clean and spacious. The location was very good and we could access attractions very easily. The parking was close by and easy to park. After the first night I got an email asking how my first night was. The mattress was of poor quality and on a solid wooden base. You could feel the coil springs digging into your back and your hips hit the wooden base when you turned. I reported this in response to an email I recieved asking how our first night was - I had no reply to my response. We also each had one very thin pillow on arrival, but this was sorted when we reported it to reception. We only managed to sleep by sleeping in track suits on top of the duvet, in order to more effectively cover the springs. It is advertised as a self catering unit, but the severe lack of utensils, pots, cutlery, crockery and glassware makes this unrealistic. At time of booking I requested acces to an outside area for smoking anmd was told the courtyard was available. This was great, but unfortunately my keycard did not allow me access to this area after reception closed, I had to smoke outside on the street in the rain.

Disgraceful Con, you think you are booking an apartment with a double room, your not! Just dont stay there its awful and im fighting for a refund and I will not give up. Window wont open due to the blind so its breathing Vs provacy to on looking rroms! no aircon or ventilation, too hot in corridors, shared kitchen and dining and the room is so tiny me and my other half struggled to pass each other. We ended up checking out an hour after checking in and paying for a hotel. They didnt care and then lied said we never checked in, cancelled the room which then prevented us from writing a review on booking.com (which they knew i was going to do) Booking.com did nothing about it so ive rasied a complaint via Paypal. Just dont go there you have been warned

Horrible place. Management wouldn’t talk to us. Ten people at reception all angry asking for money back. My wife needs physio after the awful mattress. Temperature of room is unbearably hot. I have never written a review but this is the WORST place i have stayed in my life

It was falsely advertised as as an apartment. It was like a prison cell, no living room, 1 tiny kitchen without windows. An absolute rip off, the worse place I've ever stayed. It ruined our holiday. It was hot and airless, soulless and depressing, the sort of place where a person could go insane. This is the first time I've complained online, it was so bad, and I'm still shell shocked a week later. Th should be sued for false advertising.
