Eyre Square Galway Central Self Catering

Everyone here has been nothing but helpful! I’ve had to change my stay multiple times due to covid and they were always accommodating. Location is great. Beds aren’t the most comfortable but otherwise it’s wonderful!

We couldn't find the hotel as it is just a door beside the coach station. When we saw the room we realised it was not a hotel but student accommodation. I told the girl on reception that we were going to look for another place to stay she told me she didn't know what the cancellation policy was. I eventually got a call from the manager who wanted to know why I didn't want to stay. His answer was "there are no students there at the moment". He also told me I would get a refund within 7 days. It has been 7 weeks and i only just received the refund. I had to contact the manager, the host (who told me they had nothing to do with the booking) and eventually Booking.com (who I had booked through) a number of times before it was all sorted. The refund was short €4, which is not a lot of money but when you are waiting 7 weeks it is not acceptable. The kitchen they speak of is a shared kitchen. The room was very small, the bed tiny and the mattress hard.

Stayed here in a two bedroomed apartment for 2 nights ...family of four with 2 older teens. Booked this last minute as we couldn't get any hotel availability and for the price we paid € 324 for 2 nights we really couldn't fault it. Okay, it is a purpose built student complex but it is clean, modern and bright and a great location within easy walking distance to the centre. Apartments are quite compact with 2 bedrooms off a small but well equipped kitchen ( no couch or seating area )Both bedrooms had large TVs with plenty of storage. Beds were queen size and my advice would be to bring extra pillows/cushions. Communal area has pool table and comfortable couches, vending machine and nice courtyard. Never had problem with noise as doors are solid. Basic but perfect for cheap getaway in beautiful Galway

This accommodation is advertised as family friendly- it is not. We arrived with 2 kids aged 6 & 3, firstly we could not properly locate the “hotel”. It is also far from a hotel. It is student accommodation. It is falsely advertised. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment thinking we would have plenty of space. We would have had more space in a hotel room. We have left the accommodation to stay in a local hotel. Absolutely disappointed
