My only observations would that there was a lot of furniture in the room which seemed unnecessary and made it rather cramped. Also, there were no sachets of instant coffee which would have been my preference.

I didn’t like it at all.

The room was described as a 'courtyard room'. In one direction it overlooked a filthy roof with both dead and plastic plants, plus two loud kitchen extractor fans. In the other direction, an obscured window overlooking a dumping ground for the surrounded by overgrown trees. After complaining, the extractors were switched off at around 21.15. The rooms are also very close to the A23, so there is constant traffic noise. I requested a refund while I was staying, but the owners, who do not live on site, refused. I imagine that there have been multiple complaints about this room's description. To the owners: be honest and charge a lot less. Then the complaints will stop!

Breakfast was made the night before and left outside the room in a hamper (with a cool bag) before so was a little jaded by the next day especially as we were in a heat wave. It was OK but not wonderful. No 'garden view' as per booking. I queried this as soon as I arrived but was told that the view of the road and the common ground opposite counted as 'garden view'. Room was a bit noisy (had to leave windows open as heat wave) Room was billed as 'superior double' but actually very cramped Pub staff said they would call owner when I raised these issues, but there was no come back to me

We rented the cottage which had a nice bathroom and products and towels and adequate kitchen.

Very noisy, backing on to the A24 dual carriageway. It was warm but with the windows open, sleep was very difficult. The upstairs bedroom with a very low sloping roof is not up to standard and no one had cleaned under the beds. We didn’t eat because the pub is shut on Sunday evening. All the fire alarms went off, apparently for no reason, at 10.30 pm on Sunday night. The outside area is rather run down and the outside sitting area fir the cottage in unappealing. 3 nights for £760 was very poor value.
