Hyatt Place Harrisonburg

The hotel was great, had a good vibe. The pool area and gym were well taken care of.

I didn't like the fact I booked a mountain view room, and paid extra for that. And I ended up on the backside of the hotel facing another hotel. My room was above the fire pit outdoor area and it got load at night.

This is a seriously modern and well planned hotel. The best and attractive use is made of every space. They've thought of everything before you did. Modern cheerful design. Design worthy of a higher class hotel. Lovely restaurant on the top floor with very tempting food. Helpful and pleasant staff. I was ready to give it 5 stars until I had breakfast. Sad white bread or inauthentic bagel for bread. Toaster is on long term hiatus. Eggs cold. Potatoes over salted. Sausage under cooked. Only pastry is plain donut holes -- no sweetness whatsoever. Waffles soggy. However dishes and silverware elegant like the rest of the hotel.

Property looks new and clean.

Clean and welcoming. But my reservation was for a King size bed because thats what we have at home. The room given to us looked like a Queen size. I asked the reception staff and they said their beds have weird sizes. Smaller than the actual king size. I paid for a King.
