I mostly liked the hotel's location, breakfast, view, lobby, and taxi service. Additionally, reception personnel were very helpful in answering my questions about the city. When we had a fire alarm in the middle of the night, hundreds of customers left the hotel safely. The hotel staff was very helpful and smiling.

Food and Beverage was 5 Star. Check-In and Housekeeping was 2 star at best. We were in a group of 50+ and our group check in was delayed by a hour or two. On Day two, lots of rooms never got maid service. Also, we had a 2 Night Stay and several in our party were checked out and room keys stopped working after first night. Gym was excellent. Management and house keeping needs to evaluate and correct.

Our family stayed at this hotel for two weeks last December and January where we spent Christmas Day and New Year. This will be our eighth stay in Residence Inn since we first set foot on this property in 2023 when our son visited UC Berkeley for his graduate studies. And I believe we will keep on coming back. Check in was fast and "friendly" thanks to the staff at the counter, despite the fact that we arrived late in the evening. As always, the room was clean and spacious for our needs. The hotel kept up with the Christmas and New Year's season with their themes - Christmas tree, events, decors, etc. The hotel is located near UC Berkeley, the BART and bus stations, banks and a lot of eateries, not to mention Target. Going to church is just a bus or Uber away. The free and generous breakfast is another bonus although for a long stay, you will get tired with almost the same stuff to eat every day. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and we will surely be back.

This, brand new hotel, is fantastic. Spacious well appointed suites, quiet and comfortable. Spacious lounge areas, pleasant rooftop bar and restaurant. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We have stayed twice and will stay again next time we are in Berkeley.

I am absolutely in awe of this hotel. It is so pretty and in such a great location. Three seconds walk to the main train station, so many restaurants and shops close by. But the main reason is the staff. I mean, everyone is so polite.And so sweet. From the moment I got off my Uber.The valet team member BENJAMIN ran to assist me with my 2 luggage.I was so appreciative of him. Then I was checked in by the amazing ALBERT. Equally, nice, equally amazing.Showed me where everything is. I also got to say hi to GABY for a few minutes while I was getting checked in. But the main bonus point was meeting the breakfast crew next day. I mean everyone. I was there five or six days , and everybody in the breakfast crew was so helpful. I just had to get their names to personally thank each and every one. It , of course , started with the team leader REGINA. I'm talking about being proud in the hospitality environment. She just had the aura that while she's a team leader and a supervisor she knows how to take care of the guest and to deal with situations at the same time. When I was there this one guest somehow messed up the pancake mix , and it flew straight onto the next guest. Regina came there right away with smiles and making sure everything was set and took care of both the guests and clean up at the same time. In such a calm , polite and ease manner. I wanted to personally thank each and every one of the breakfast crew. RACHANA, PHOUNG, MARIA, CAROLE and TERESA. the breakfast spread that you ladies lay out for us guests is phenomenal with so many options and with such is refills.I don't know how the entire team does it , but hats off to them. I went at different times and I promise you not once did I see the bottom of any pan.They were getting refilled at such ease with such precision care that nothing was going unnoticed by the crew, hats off! I also had a slight concern with my room , and I met the lovely engineer TOMASI. He came right away fixed it and was so polite and asked , if there's anything else we can do to make your stay better? With that just one question , nobody knows how at ease a traveler feels when asked that question. All in all, I was so happy with my stay.Every team member was phenomenal. Thanks to the senior leaders and the GM for hiring such a wonderful team. The hotel is beautiful and such lovely rooms.I would not change a thing.You guys are doing a phenomenal job Thank you
