Went to the place my parents loved for over 40 years. Booked an overnight stay in the Longs Peak Lodge. Our confirmation email said nothing about a check-in time. When we arrived at the front desk, the person told us that our room was not ready, but to check back in 1-2 hours. We called and were told again, that the room was not yet ready. They promised to call us back shortly. We called again at 3:30, and were told again the same story. The person told us they were short handed but that they would have the room ready shortly. Keep in mind that the lodge was less than half full. No one called, so we went back to the front desk and were surprised to learn from Larry, that room had been ready for some time. He was very surprised that no one had called. Never said he was sorry - simply told us that perhaps some we had spoken to were new. Total disaster and a complete waste of an afternoon. This morning, we tried the breakfast buffet. We were trampled by school children, the buffet line was in complete shambles. The food was cold and less than average. We were charged $16.50 even though the dining information provided by the front desk reflected a price of $15. Total experience was so disappointing.

Clean room. Bed was comfortable. Quiet. Nice view from second floor room. Pleasant and efficient check-in. The staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi was easy to access, Overall a very pleasant stay.

Location nestled next to Rocky Mts. Beautiful views all around. Best vacation spot for any age! You never have to leave. So much to do. Hiking, horseback riding, pickleball,crafts and much more! Aspen were gorgeous and elk entertaining!
