North Lodge

The size and location of the property was great. The house was a nice mix of modern and old; well-maintained, with all necessary facilities. It was quiet at nights and close to beautiful scenery.

We could have done with more towels and pillows. The towels looked clean but smelt stale. There were only 2 complimentary teabags for 6 of us and the UHT milk sachets were expired. The mattress in the main bedroom wasn't very comfortable.

The house is very spacious with nice big kitchen and living room...lots of room to move around, well equipped and the 2 bathrooms were a bonus but you need to bring your own toiletries. The house located in a quiet area but close to the town center - good if you have a car.

The bath towels left for us were still slightly damp and do not smell fresh. One of the single bed was not made ready. Wifi was not strong - signal kept dropping. Upstairs water pressure not the greatest.

1 North Lodge not serviced. Host was contacted, apologised & upgraded us to 2 North Lodge which was available and far superior and better value for money. Kitchen facilites great! Newly fitted out property which is presented well. Lots of different rooms and space would suit large group.

Poor Wi-Fi strength which needs boosting. Very misleading listing - interior photos do not show #1 & #2 as separate properties. Listing suggestive of hot tub included, which is only clarified once you've booked! No response either from either of 2 company names given. Rear outdoor areas are very poor - needing weeding, a good tidy and cleaning of the outside of the property. #1 outdoor furniture was very poor - damp, dirty, stained cushions and rotting wood. So disappointing to arrive to an unserviced & disappointing property - thankfully #2 was available.
