Wingate Houston near NRG Park/Medical Center

I didn't have time for the breakfast, but I did look to see if there were muffins. No muffins, but the scrambled eggs and sausage looked and smelled good. I had a cup of coffee on the go. I attended a graduation at the NRG Arena across the street from the hotel, so the location was perfect. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were great. The air conditioner is the old individual type in the room. You can control the temperature to your liking. The low hum of the unit helped me sleep.

The toilet tube was leaking when we arrived, but I reported it to the front desk, and they sent maintenance and it was fixed immediately. The room was clean, but when I closed the door in the bathroom, the back of the door was mildewed and was not getting cleaned when the bathroom is being cleaned.

The staff was excellent.

Clean Modern the King size bed was very comfortable.

I had a terrible stay. I had to wait in line for an hour in a half, no compensation & it had Bigs

Compensation for being in line for nearly 2hrs. Bugs in the room

The only thing good about this property is that it’s directly across the street from NRG

It’s old, dated & not maintained … elevator is a death trap on exterior doors do not even lock

The location was great. I went to Houston to attend the Rodeo and this hotel was directly across the street.

The hotel is outdated. Shower head was corroded, stains on the comforter sets, pain peeling off walls, stains on the walls and curtains. The hallways were very dark and gloomy. My kids were scared so we only stayed 1 night. They charged $40 to park and the room was $199 for 1 night. Not worth it!
