Hotel Elysian Residency

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. My wife and I are senior citizens, and my wife has knee problems. During our recent trip to Gujarat, we booked this hotel through Booking.com after seeing reasonably good reviews. We stayed for four days and paid more than ₹5000 per night. As far as I remember, our room number was 503. Unfortunately, the most basic facility in the bathroom was not functioning properly. The hot and cold water did not mix in the shower. The hot water line produced extremely hot water, making it impossible to use directly for bathing. Every day we had to call the reception for help. The staff would then switch off the heater and ask us to keep the tap open. We had to keep the tap running until the water slowly cooled down, and only then could we use it for bathing. This was a daily problem throughout our stay. It is quite surprising that such a large hotel cannot provide properly mixed hot and cold water through the bathroom tap. Since we had to leave early every morning for sightseeing, facing this issue daily was very inconvenient for us. Even after informing the reception about the problem, our room was never changed. Considering the facilities and the problems we faced, the room rate should have been around ₹2000–₹2500 per night, not more than ₹5000. Future guests should be aware of this issue before booking or staying at this hotel.

The bed sheets was not white, looks like very old, and room was too small, there was not enough space for an additional bed, however we manage
