Pub next door had good beer, car park convenient

Room very small and hot, bed not very comfortable, pillows hard, rooms look out over the fire station which is highly illuminated at night, the curtains sit off the wall and are badly fitted so allow a lot of light in, I had to borrow blankets to try to block light out. Staff member did try to help but had to cut my visit short due to lack of sleep.

The location was perfect for us to visit family.

No glasses for water and we had to fill the kettle by pouring water into mugs and then pouring into kettle.

The room was very warm for me but a couple of windows open soon sorted it. No bother .

Friendly staff booked me in when I arrived, tea, coffee and biscuits available in the room. Just around the corner were shops and restaurant in the square. Aldi just across the road. Room was clean and I had a good size en suite.

It was a bit noisy at night due to the pub being next door and the window being single glazed but this is maybe due to regulations if the building is listed. Also the car spaces were taken up by pub patrons. I arrived at the earliest I could and thought they would be available. To be fair the staff asked the patrons to move and about 15 mins later I was able to get a space. Need to find places to eat for breakfast as no food available but I was told that before booking.

Convenient location for my purposes (performance at the Majestic Theatre)

There was no breakfast provided so cannot comment. Getting access to the room was quite easy

Cleanliness poor and room decor dated and uncared for. TV reception very poor, continually losing picture.
