Really well maintained property with great onsite restaurant and two additional bars for drinks and food. Hotel has artwork on display throughout and a library for reading and board games. Great hiking trails and a large and engaging playground if you have kids.

"Would stay again. Enjoyed hiking the trails and imagine would enjoy them even more in the summer."

10.0

From the time we pulled into the valet to the time we checked out, we found the staff and the lodge to be exceptional.

Didn't completely DISLIKE it, but did not find the food served at Cedar + Elm to be of the caliber of a Michelin-star restaurant. The service was great, the food was okay.

"stately historical building in a beautiful setting"

10.0

Beautiful accommodations. Lovely staff. spectacular hiking trails right there. game room stocked with goodies. good restaurants. live music some evenings. History and beautiful building. great carpets. well priced for the experience. we got a midday special of four nights for the price of three and upgraded our room to one of the more spacious ones. We have traveled a lot, and this is one of our favorite places we have stayed

"A great meeting experience within a state park"

10.0

The grandness of the resort is felt as you approach valet. The entrance was a little confusing, but staff was extremely helpful. The real experience is the green space, wooded area on the opposite side of the lodge. The history, the displayed art and the spacious rooms make this destination unique and a memorable experience. The two bars, restaurants, and the proximity to paths were great features. The game room is a fun option as well. Enjoy a team retreat in this remote location. The restaurant is worth the visit alone.

"Birthday Weekend"

10.0

Our stay was great, and the staff made my wife's birthday celebration amazing. The staff really made the stay special, from the valet, to the front desk (Dave and team), to the bar (Lindsey and team), and the restaurant. Luke's team in the restaurant executed an awesome tasting menu experience. We will definitely stay at the Lodge the next time we visit the Seattle area.

"A hidden gem in the metropolis"

10.0

The staff go to 11, the food, the hotel, wow. We are foodies and travel a lot and this is so close to home but we will be back! The dead of winter in this miserable northwest and playing games in the library with friends was fantastic. The bartenders we unbelievably knowledgeable as well as the solmolier I can not say enough about the staff and the experience. Our friends said we had to come and I was skeptical. Nope come here but save space for us!

"Beautiful scenery, but let down if you want more than just a hotel rm in terms of your stay"

8.0

The room was clean, the view and scenery were nice, the staff were friendly. The rooms have a nespresso machine, robes to cozy up in, and a nice size tv. I appreciated there were 3 restaurants in the establishment, however, they also seemed to have similar menu items (only 2/3 open when we visited). I appreciated they had a map with the walking trails around the building even though we didn't utilize them during our stay.

Their valet service and your ability to get your car period ends at 11pm until roughly 7am. If you like to be able to have that freedom, this is something to consider. I booked the hotel as a local getaway and as I was interested in the historical remodel--parts of their restaurants and library appeared to be done nicely, the hotel rooms being the same size and structure, but I feel much of the inside architectural makeup was compromised and not necessarily treated as I would've hoped. The glass showers in the room do have a tendency to leak, but wasn't a problem when we had a towel crammed directly below it. I did grow up seeing the outside of the building by visiting the park throughout my childhood on multiple occasions, so I have an idea of some of the changes--it's kind of sad. I had high expectations for such a beautiful building. My husband and I also tried Cedar & Elm restaurant during our stay--although going for more an upscale vibe, the food wasn't our favorite; and when we tried to order room service for a more private dessert later, we were put thru to their phone line to the kitchen where no one picked up with no VM situation set up. To wrap it up, as a hotel, there's nothing wrong with it. If you are hoping for an experience, I felt disappointed. For the price, a light breakfast/muffins in rm or something would be nice to be included in the stay, and I would've appreciated more details preserved to maintain the indoor integrity of this historical landmark.
