Hotel AJ Gran Alacant

We have stayed at this hotel many times and have always been impressed. Very clean. I would highly recommend.

Amazing new hotel. Large accessible room with huge square terrace with table and chairs and sunbeds. Tricky to get past the bed to outside onto the terrace but fine if you can walk a little. It's just stunning inside. Outside it's by a shopping centre so not very attractive but Lidl, Mercadona, Burger King etc and many pubs and restaurants. 10 minutes to the airport by cab around 20 euros, Santa Pola Beach and promenade 10 minutes same price and beautiful Alicante City perhaps 15 minutes and 30 euros. I would definitely return as affordable.

The hotel is only 10 minutes from Alicante Airport and when you walk in the room smells divine. Rooms are adequate with fridge and a very modern bathroom with a large shower. The balcony was really big and had sun all day. breakfast was also excellent and had a good choice. We did have a really rude maid who refused to give my partner a bottle of water what was left in the room to take his medication which could of spoilt the 5 star reviews but the Managing Director Francisco Martinez came to see us when we where leaving as we did report to reception. Francisco was very understanding and took the bad service on the chin and he expressed his disappoint with how the maid was with us. This made us rate the whole experience back to 5 stars as all the reception staff, restaurant staff and management could not do enough. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Clean, modern & friendly hotel located close to the airport. Would recommend and would stay again.

Fantastic decor and modern rooms

The hotel is clean but the food was dreadful! The dinner was all slightly warmed up veg probably cooked previous day the portions were very small choice very poor for €20 per head. Breakfast a little better but limited choice compared to other hotels in region. Traffic noise disturbing during night. Hairdryer useless a tiny button you had to hold in all the time. Bar closed very early. No way would we return here an awful experience, very disappointed.
