Element by Marriott Jacksonville Beach

What a nice hotel this is, super clean and modern. Beds and pillows are VERY comfortable and the location is only about 1 block away from the ocean and start of the boardwalk. What really stands out though is all of the little details, such as a covered and heated pool, super nice gym, fast elevators, fantastic breakfast and 24 hour free coffee (which by the way is excellent). Not only that they have covered parking available with easy access to the side hotel enterance and just beyond the doors are the elevators. There is a full laundry room on every floor with an ice maker. Everything in this hotel has been well thought out regarding the guest. The staff were all very friendly and helpful as well. I'd give this hotel 6 stars if I could!

The staff were utterly deplorable, completely incapable of producing my invoice at checkout. Even days later, when I desperately called for work reasons, they remained useless. The manager is an absolute disaster, clueless and ineffective. AVOID THIS DUMP AT ALL COSTS, ESPECIALLY FOR BUSINESS TRAVEL.

We stayed for two nights while my husband was receiving care at Mayo Clinic. We have stayed in MANY hotels in the Mayo Clinic area over the past 12 years and this one is the BEST! From the welcoming front desk staff (in particular, Emily, who is amazing!), to the beautiful lobby that is both comfortable and calming, first impressions were strong. We loved our room (King bed studio) and found it spotlessly clean and comfortable. The in suite kitchen is a fine bonus and we loved having filtered water in the room! There is so much to love about this hotel! We avoided booking it in the past for fear that it would be too far away from Mayo Clinic to be convenient, but that was certainly not the case. We never had more than a 15 minute drive to Mayo. The easy walk to the beach was a huge plus and provided a wonderful respite from the stress of medical care. We loved this hotel so much that we booked our next stay before we left. Do not hesitate to book this hotel for your Mayo Clinic treatment visit!

For a three star property, this hotel has a lot of amenities. First of all, the property is very clean and feels modern and new. The on-site parking is great and even has a covered garage, which is awesome for hot summer days. The beach is a very short walk, one block down the road. I did get to take advantage of the gym once, which was well stocked and clean. I typically do not take advantage of free hotel breakfast, but I did hear all three mornings of my stay. There were different options every day and consistent staples, like Greek yogurt and granola and fruit, which is what I typically have for breakfast anyway, so very convenient! If you are looking for a hotel with a great outdoor pool, then I would not recommend this resort. I did not use the pool because the pool is in the first floor under the parking garage. Because of this, the pool is completely shaded and right by the road. You will not get any sun by this pool. Fortunately, I was not planning on spending any time by the pool, and spent my time at the beach. Overall, this hotel is in a great location and I would definitely stay here again. Great value for the money!
