Delta Hotels by Marriott Grande Prairie Airport

A very comfortable hotel close to the airport. Two concerns; very dificult to control the room temperature. I like it cool for sleeping and I could not get the temperature to go below 20C or 68F. Neither could maintenance. So I had to open the window and listen to the noise of trucks. A minor concern is that the remote control for the T.V. is difficult to use. It has lost most of it's tactile feel making navigagtion difficult

The staff go above and beyond. The rooms are super clean. The beds are really comfortable.

we stayed more than one night and the complimentary water, lotion and makeup removing wipes were not replenished daily...

We usually love this hotel and stay here every time we are in GP. I rated it poor not because of the facilities but sadly this last stay the service and terrible. After driving five hours to GP we wanted to have a nice dinner in the lounge. We waited a very long time to have orders taken and while people who came in after us were served first. The ribs and chicken we ordered was very dry and over cooked. We asked for a late checkout because we came to watch our son play hockey. His game was not until 330 and we had nowhere to go. We were told it should be no problem but to call at 8am to check. There would be free late checkout until noon. We called at 8am and were told to call again at 9am. We called at 9am and were told no we could not checkout at noon unless we paid $75. We went to the gym and were not completely finished getting ready at 11am but housekeeping kept knocking on the door telling us we had to leave. We left the room only a few minutes after 11 and then realized we forgot something in the room. A housekeeper followed me and was watching me like I was a criminal. It was all very disappointing because up til now this was the only hotel we would stay at in GP. Quite frankly we are unlikely to return after this experience.

Great place to stay! Convenient, comfortable nice rooms! Convenient for shopping, Roger’s place and good restaurants close by!
