Kverna Guesthouse

Great place for 3 of us to stay in a private room within a dormitory. The included breakfast option was very helpful as was easy, on-site parking. Would highly recommend a stay here!

Close to very beautiful places

Right off the ring road.

Only PUBLIC BATHROOMS. No bathrooms in rooms. And for the life of me I cannot find this in hotel description or my booking reservation. We are a family of 5 and having our own bathroom is a must. Did I mention there is only 2 toilets per floor? Yeah.

Nice spacious place. Breakfast was very good. Staff friendly. Negative toilet paper not replaced on one day

One night stay here, was clean, quiet and in a good area. Good breakfast too. We were able to check in early too which was a plus! Would reccomend if you come to Reykjavik

The morning we were supposed to check in, we drove by the hotel (before we checked in) to go on a hike. Unfortunately a flood came through and wiped out the only bridge and all the surrounding roads to the town a few hours later. We were unable to get back to the hotel due to all the roads being closed. I called the hotel and asked if i can be refunded and was told no. Other people we spoke to on our tour were refunded by their hotels. I would caution against booking at this location since they do not accommodate guests during emergencies. It seems basic to me that a road is needed to get to a hotel. If a road can not be provided to guests a refund should be issued.

It’s a place to sleep and not much more

Our reservation did not say that there are only shared bathrooms at this hotel. They only had 2 showers for ALL guests, which had mold in the corners. We stayed in one big room - 6 single twin beds. The door to our room kept opening, even though we made sure it was shut and locked. This is the only time we have ever checked out early. The strict cancelation policy should have been an indication that this property is not great!

Cute place. Very clean. Only two bathrooms and showers on each the floor. Nice breakfast. Interesting class pictures from when it was a boarding school.
