Glenwood Inn - Stroudsburg

Room was very clean. The beds were comfortable and it was very peaceful. They have a large property which keeps everything nice and quiet.

Do not stay here. We had to battle flying beetles constantly in the room. Also no ice machine , no tissues or coffee available. We also had to practically beg for soap n shampoo, both of which were only big enough for one use. We also has to beg for towels which are barely big enough to dry off after a shower. The only good thing was that the room was clean and had a smart tv

We like places with character. This Inn is full of it. Those interested in the history of tourism in the Poconos as we are will find this motel fascinating. A relic 1861 resort hotel on the property along with evidence of its continued evolution into a 20th century resort and conference center abound. Now scaled back to a basic and comfortable motel catering to outdoor enthusiasts and budget minded travelers, it provided us with a quiet escape from the road. Walk to the restaurants and kayak/canoe center down the hill and enjoy the mountain views and access to trails and scenic roads. Our host was friendly and informative, working constantly to improve his unique property. Maybe not for the traveler looking for boring cookie cutter basics with easy on/off the interstate. Highly recommended for the traveler with a little sense of adventure and the enjoyment of quirkiness and surprise. We loved it!

Bring your own towels and soap,shampoo. There is no functional pool. The AC works well.

Avoid! Outdated wrecked and dirty. Pool isn’t open. Hot water heater broke the fourth day I was here, ants, dirty walkways, broken asphalt, recreation room offers no AC or even fans. When I complained about the hot water heater not working and him wanting to move me, he raised my rate and told me he wasn’t going to put the light on at the entrance of the cottage, this place is for money only- to hell with the guests.

It's a dump. The whole place looks like and abandoned army camp. Really shabby exterior. The "office" for check-in looks like a big rec room with a giant cross on one wall. The office guy barely spoke English. He didn't even have my last name on the reservation. He insisted we come back to him in the morning with the key for checkout. When we went to the "office" at 8:30 am, the door was locked, nobody inside. I hung our key on the door handle and took a couple of pix to confirm I had returned the key...room #54

Is just a basic room but it is super quiet which I really enjoyed

Beautiful area,appears the owners are trying to update. The bed was horrible very old and low to the floor. Room was remolded ans cute.

Very odd semi derelict conference center with wings of motel style rooms. Property was quiet, proprietor very friendly, room very dated but large and comfortable if you're used to budget motels.

Uncomfortable bed, antiquated room, linens were stained , the check-in area is run down. The personnel was nice however didn’t speak English, it was a challenge , but she was sweet.
