Six Senses Fort Barwara Sawai Madhopur

Our recent stay at Six Senses Fort Barwara was absolutely perfect, so much so that we even extended our trip! From the moment we arrived, we were completely captivated by the stunning architecture and the whole facility. The breathtaking views of the Aravli hills were something we'll never forget. The team here truly goes above and beyond. The staff was incredibly kind and quick to resolve any issues. The food was a major highlight of our trip. Chef Kumar was fantastic and personally checked in with us to prepare our meals exactly to our liking. The hosting staff was also wonderful, especially Anuj and Pooja, who were amazing at juggling our orders while keeping our six-month-old baby happy and engaged. Their kindness made our meals so much more enjoyable. We loved every part of our experience, from the activities to the gorgeous property itself. It's a place we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a special and unforgettable stay.

We had a pleasant 6 night stay at Six Senses Fort Barwara. There were 8 of us travelling and we enrolled in the Detox and Ayurveda wellness programs, I have summarised pros and cons below; Pros: TOP CHEF NARESH/ DINING. The dining variety and options were very good, the chef Naresh cooked THE best Indian food we have ever had, also being Indian this isn’t an easy feat. All his dishes were 10/10 and flavours all on point. When Naresh isn’t in the kitchen the quality of the food dropped which was a shame. Naresh also made us custom items off the menu and one meal was one of the best we’ve ever had - will remember it for a long time. SERVICE: very good service from all staff. Anuj who served us in the restaurant area was always very welcoming and helpful. The Champi man was wonderful and we enjoyed our poolside treatments with him. The evening local entertainment was fantastic and it was nice to relax to live music every night after dinner. Even though we didn’t book the tiger safari through the hotel, they very kindly packed us refreshments for our adventure. ROOMS/DECOR: we had 4 sanctuary suites and they were Palatial and beautifully laid out. The room size is very generous. The whole fort is an incredible sight and structure, some of the old buildings have remained and the night lighting makes the place feel spectacular. The spa rooms were very nice and has a welcoming reception area.

CLEANLINESS: the room service clean was very good however, sometimes the patio area wasn’t cleaned and there are many pigeons on the fort. We couldn’t go out without shoes on the patio as there were frequently feathers and bird droppings on the floor. The pool isn’t super clean, on one occasion I was reluctant to go in as I saw dead insects floating in the water and pigeon droppings. SPA: given this was one of the main reasons for the trip; wellness programs, the spa fell short of expectations. - We were given schedule of treatments for all 8 of us. This schedule changed at least three times and twice while we were at the property which caused confusion - Wellness program lists ‘private yoga session’ which is paid for and falsely advertised, in fact, this is not private yoga- we were asked to combine at least 4 of us into 1 ‘private yoga’ session. - Group yoga sessions scheduled once a day at for 30 mins at 8am. I would have expected a longer session 45-1hour on some days and an afternoon yoga session with indoor options. In the hot season it’s almost 35 degrees in the morning. - Paid for activities such as group sound bath would have expected this to be complimentary - The billing was horrendous and took us 2 hours on our penultimate night to resolve. Even though we booked the wellness packages, each treatment was billed separately to the room. Some of us had the wrong treatments charged to the bill. The receipts had incorrect names. It was a total mess - I would highly recommend the Spa Manager to check all bills sent to reception before they are sent. - Accuracy of the wellness screening, one of us had a medical a week prior to the stay. She was aware her cholesterol was normal and diabetes was high but was told the opposite at Six Senses. - The spa bill automatically added 5% service charge to each and every treatment.

we celebrated our anniversary over there, thoroughly enjoyed our full stay, our GEM Tanusree was wonderful, taken our beautiful photographs. we have had our anniversary special dinner at destination fort which's memorable.

I loved everything about that resort, no complain so far. they've done an extraordinary job, I already recommended my friends about this fort Barwara.
