Manatee Palms

Had a very enjoyable stay. The bed was comfy, staff very friendly and loved the property. Will definitely stay here again.

Very difficult to find entrance and check in building. Room was ok but no ice maker on premise; had to ask for some ice from checkin person who brought a small bucket with about 6 cubes and what looked like a chunk from bottom of ice tray. Had to request 1st floor room as stairs to go to second floor very narrow and steep. We are both handicapped and wouldn’t be able to get up and down. Breakfast was not great but fresh, Danish was good and fresh fruit cup good. No choices for other items. Avocado toast was small and fair, Mediterranean roll was too spicy for all 4 of us so couldn’t eat it. Room was large and clean and shower good. We wouldn’t go back though.

The whole arrival procedure is ridiculous. Ahead of time you receive an email with maps for directions, but you don't park where the map says to park and then you enter on a street that the map says (incorrectly) is closed. You need a code to enter the gate. No signs about office location. You need a code to enter the office. Then a code to enter your building.Then a a code to enter your room. Way too complicated and inconvenient!

We were NOT greeted or made feel welcome from the moment we arrived to the time we checked out. The lady running things is not friendly or personable. She never greeted us when we would come or go. She was very defensive and annoyed when I brought up a couple issues. There were two nights there were LIVE bugs IN the bed. My daughter was creeped out and slept on the floor. The lady’s response was they weren’t there when I cleaned it- No apology. I put the comforter in the laundry and she put it back on the bed NOT washed. One day a man had to come and work on the ac, when we got back that eve the room smelled like a dead mouse for the next 3 days. When I let the lady know, her response was she, the ac man or housekeeper didn't smell it. Rather insinuated the smell was from food in the trash can stating there are no mice or dead mice. The lady said absolutely NOTHING when I checked out to leave- NO thank you, good bye, have a nice day or come back. I will not support a business who does not show simple common courtesy to those who spend thousands to support them. A little kindness goes a long way!

This is a unique property, and one that we found to be very pleasing. Our two night stay was very pleasant and we were grateful to Sherry for her hospitality and wonderful homemade continental breakfasts, which were delicious, organic, and well presented.

We really enjoyed our stay at Manatee Palms. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Suggesting nearby beaches to visit which were all beautiful. Our room was spotless. We would definitely come back. Thank you Sherri.

Once we found the hotel, because of road construction, and then found the office, we loved our room, which was a spacious apartment...it may have been that at one time. The decor was "shabby chic" and really well done. The screened in porch was lovely with beautiful trees, plants and palms surrounding the outside. The kitchen was huge with glasses, plates, cups, silverware, coffee maker. The only thing missing in the kitchen was a microwave. The living room was nice...couch was not especially comfy, but chairs were nice. The bedroom was beautiful and the bathroom even better. We enjoyed our stay!!
