Casa del Jaguar Beach Hotel

Beach is beautiful

The room was very well appointed and the hotel is in the best location on the island right on the beach. On the whole the staff were ok but Sunny way surpassed everyone else with his attention to detail

Unfortunately, quite a bit. This was our fifth hotel we stayed in whilst touring the Yucatan Peninsula (so we had a point of comparison) and was very disappointing. We had no hot water for 3 out of the 4 showers we took. We were told the beach sun beds were for the exclusive use of the hotel guests but they were being hawked out to people on the beach for 500 pesos per day. The beach bar served great food but closed at 7.30pm and there is nowhere else within the hotel to eat dinner. We hadn’t realised this so arrived at 7.25 to eat dinner and were gruffly told to order quickly as the kitchen was about to close. Everyday from 2-7pm the beach club immediately next door pumped out loud music so there was no snoozing on the beach to be had and we heard it very clearly in our room too. I would rate this a three star hotel and should not command the amount we paid for a 3 night stay :-(

This was our 3rd stay at Casa. We love the convenience of having Playa Norte right behind us. This is a 12 room Boutique hotel, and the sister hotel Na Balan is located directly across the street. The street is super busy during the day with beach goers and golf carts. At night, it is peaceful. The check-process was easy, Diego and Patricia, the front desk staff were so pleasant and greeted us. Diego remembered us from our prior visit. We were given a bracelet that acts as a room key and pool key as well as a map of the island and a list of spa services. They added a free spa service this time and sadly we did not utilize it. We were on a second-floor room and Diego assisted us with my luggage as there are no elevators. The rooms are spacious and clean; the hotel provides towels for showering and separate towels for the beach. Our only complaint is the drainage in the sink seems to drain slow or back up easily which didn't ruin our stay, and we let the front desk staff know upon check out so they could take a look at it before the next guest. If you purchase the breakfast package, breakfast is at the Oceanus Beach club that is directly behind Casa. There are many breakfast options included and a few additional options that are not included. Oceanus also guarantees a beach lounger for Casa guests, and they are very strict with this rule. The stripe loungers are for hotel guest and the pink for those that wish to rent. If you're looking for quiet, this time of year isn't it. The pool available is accessible to hotel guests only, and you can only enter with your room key bracelet. This time of year, was still a bit chilly and we wished the pool was heated. Check-out was easy. We had some time until we needed to head to the ferry and the staff allowed us to keep our luggage there until then. We will be back soon and will be staying at Casa!

Location was amazing and sun loungers v comfortable Sunsets were incredible to witness. Cocktails v good

Breakfast service was slow. Reception messed up our return pick up to airport. Pool too small.

We love Isla Mujere's Playa Norte, one of the most beautiful beaches we have visited anywhere around the world, and Casa del Jaguar is in the best location in the Island. Lina and Patricia (?), the Ladies at the Front desk, were just wonderful...nice, kind nd helpful through out our whole stay, just as Juan from Argentina at the Restaurant, as the whole staff from the Hotel...it felt like staying at a private home instead of the typical hotel This is our third visit at Casa del Jaguar, although, our first stay at the Hotel and We loved it, we will gladly come back. ps: Isla Mujeres has one of the most beautiful beaches and it is only a couple of ours away from Mexico City or the US...think about the hours and cost it takes to fly to Bora Bora or the Maldives, Isla Mujeres is an nice easy option instead.
